Returning NESC competition cards

To all concerned-

I have been watching this BS going on with the NESC for a while now. One thing that may wake the NESC up is if people do not renew their memberships. I have been racing AMA D-14 in the summers for three years now while I have been at school in Michigan and I have seen how it works out here. $14 for the year for a district card (and they dont make out-of-staters get one if they dont want to) $18/class the day of the race and $5/vehicle (not per person) to get into the track. Did I also mention that signup is done on carbon-paper forms (a-la Arenacross) and the longest I have ever waited was 25 minuites (the week of the Red Bud National). If a track is unsafe or is being "cheesy" about the way they do things, they get thier race dates pulled. Period.

I know for a lot of the NESC racers, traveling out of New England is not really an option, but there are options. Depending on where you live, Some New York/Jersey or Penn. Tracks are no further than Bull Run or the 'Wick. I live 1 mile down the road from the middleboro track entrance, and Englishtown, NJ is not that bad of a ride, if you leave saturday. You WILL be out of there a couple hours earlier than a NESC race, so the extra couple of hours to go there VS Bull Run or the wick is not as much of a difference as it seems.

As for the NESC I'll try to keep my comments PG-rated, but I think they are a bunch of weenies, and Norm is no better. I have more expereience dealing with the Capeway crew, as I worked there on the weekends from the time I was 10 until I started racing when I was 14.

Official today, I am "retiring" from the NESC, until they get their heads out of their posteriors, or a Better organization pops up. Maybe someone should talk to the AMA about getting D-1 racing going. The rules are easier to deal with, and it is a little easier to go race somewhere else when the rules are similar to where you live.

If the person who checks the NESC mail is reading this, my cut-up card is in the Mail. Go ahead, suspend me, see if I care. I'll go to Jolly Rogers & Skowhegan.
