Nikon 950/990 with Kenko 8x32 or?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello out there, 1. Has any one had experience using a Kenko 8x32 spotting lens with a Nikon 950/990? How about experience with any add-on lens that will extend the telephoto range to 14x or greater? I've seen some posts but the images looked fuzzy.

2.I've looked at other brands of cameras with telephoto capability such as the Sony 91/95. The 91 was great except for the lack of resolution. The 95 is an expensive joke as far as I'm concerned with the shutter freeze. Any suggestions (and sharing of experience) for a camera and or lens combo would be appreciated. My main photographic interests are wildlife/sports/macro. I'd like to be able to get decent 5x7 prints.

Regards, Scott W.

I'm also looking for a similar solution. My research has taught me that using these types of combinations for sports is difficult - though possible. At any rate, I've found the best reviews on the CrystalVue Optics SharpShooter 8x32 -- this seems to be the better of the 3 lenses in this range (Kenko / CrystalVue / Tasco 8X21). I'm leaning toward choosing the CrystalVue. http://www.steves-digicams.com/sharpshooter.html
