Does anyone use Kodak HC 110 developer anymore? I use it for Tri-x Professional Pan in 4X5 format and I just realized that I don't read or hear about anyone else using this combination. Am I out-of-date?

It is the only developer on my shelf. I use it for film from 35mm to 8x10 and for Azo paper at about a 1:8 dilution of the thick concentrate. My normal film dilution is 1:31 of the concentrate. I don't make up the stock solution since I dont do that much "wet" photography any more. I find that I can be pretty consistent using the syrup out of the original bottle and rinsing the measuring cup (1 ounce medicine cup that comes with Nyquil)several times with the mixing water.

I use HC110 and TRI-X on 35mm... it gives me excelent results.... also know of several people who continues using it, and prefers it instead of any other film/developer conbination

David Fokos uses tri-x hc110. View Camera just did a article on him last month you can see his work at www.bostick-sullivan.com A freind of mine uses it and he gets wonderful results.-J

I use HC110 with FP4 Plus. Wonderful gradation and very flexible developer. You can create a variety of changes in curve shape by manipulating dilution and agitation. Cheers. DJ

I've always used HG-110 developer, since I started studying photography in college. It was their developer, and I just stuck with it since I had good results.

Virtually all of what I do is in HC110. Just forget the "B" dilution and go for something around 1:10 or 1:12 so your times stretch out to workable. I use it for TMax 100 and 400, FP4+ and anything else.

HC110 is one of the most widely used film developers around. It is an extremely versatile developer. I use it highly diluted for n-1 to n-3 using stand developing method. James
