I just purchased an Epson 3000z and an Olympic 3030. I really like the Olympic 3030 best. It has every feature you can think of except manual white setting from a white board. It is also very easy to use. I also have a HP P1000 and P1100 (the P1100 has needed repair twice in 2 months) Please let me know what you learn about the negative scanner. or if you see any comparisons on printers between HP and Epson. Best regards, Randy
