380 in Mission Valley Left Without Power

UNION-TRIBUNE July 26, 2000

SAN DIEGO -- Power went out for some 380 customers, mostly small businesses, in the Mission Valley area last night, apparently because of a problem with an underground cable, a spokeswoman for SDG&E said.

The outage occurred about 8:30 p.m., and power was restored to about 90 percent of the addresses by 10 p.m. in the area bounded by Camino del Rio South, Camino del Rio North, Mission City Parkway and Interstate 15, the spokeswoman said.

Electricity was rerouted along other lines to restore power, said spokeswoman Stephanie Donovan.
