Cort's attitude

Possibly too early to gauge but I have been impressed by Carl Cort's attitude to the task in hand with us. Speaking in the Journal he's under no illusion as to how many games he will play with all the competition we now have. Maybe the Stateside crew could elaborate on his training.

YBR is also bending over backwards to praise his #7mill bargain (?!). Makes me glad we have signed an English player.

Well, he's not trained since the DC game. Still nursing pretty bad blisters. The coaches reckon it from the heat. They're all dying in it over here. And it's actually not anywhere near as bad as normal for this time of year! They've been really lucky. Still more than what they're used to though. It caused them to cancel training altogether this morning and go for a walk instead. They do seem rather tired today and I think about ready to go home. Though Barton did say he's hoping for a win tonight. So we'll see. They've heard about the supporters coming in from all over the country and are hopeful of putting on a better showing tonight. Though their main concern is Aug 20. Preseason results aren't so important.

Pre-season results may not be important, but performances are. In addition, success breeds success.... winning is a good habit to acquire ... etc. ....... IMO, of course.
