Can you please tell me if you can freeze a loaf of store bought bread? & if so how long can you keep it frozen for it to remain safe to eat?

We freeze whole wheat and multi grain breads with great success. We buy 6 to 8 loaves and freeze them for use. To use, move loaf from freezer to refrigerator over night. The bread is ready for use the next morning.
