Suggestions for the AME Today Website

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

The following comments are not necessarily directed at Rev. John but anyone who possess web-surfing skills which exceed my own. I find this site informative and really user friendly. Even the people who participate are cordial. However, I don't see where I can send html links, text files or gif files within the body of the text when responding to messages or creating new messages. For example, the summary of passed legislation at the 2000 GenCon could be written in MS-Word or WP file and sent as an attachment to the interested parties. Or, I could receive audio copies of all of Bishop Bryant's erudite seromons and save them on my harddrive. Sort of like my personal audio library of America's greatest sermons. Are these functions available? If so, please instruct me how I can execute these simple tasks. In addition, is there a spell check feature i can use before I click submit and have to endure the embarrasement of reading my many incorrectly spelled words?? I am more than willing to help although my web-surfing skills are so rudimentary I would create more harm than good :-) Gee, I still don't have a personal website.

There is a way to save files and include the address to where to find those files in a discussion message. It is by using an online drive like that found at www.xdrive.com. The site is free and will give you drive space on their web sight and you can upload files to that site. Then by sharing that file, you can send the address to another person.

I hope this helps a bit.
