sublime - can recommend it to any Morse fans out there. Although killing off the poor old bugger was a bit unnecessary IMHO. Any other Morse fans out there?

I wonder what happens at the end...:-(

Sorry, Softie - there've been entire newspaper sections devoted to Morse's death. I thought everybody knew.... the poll on whether to boycott the book as it polished Morse off ought to have given it away.. ((_:

Not to worry Dougal, I stopped reading the papers since the sports pages upset me so badly...hoist by my own petard :-)

Can't blame you and in fact wish I had your willpower - I ruin entire weeks by reading the papers!

Those of us O/S do not get to see those papers either!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Sorry Doug, reckon the written versions are absolute crap. reading one was enough for me. Can't stand the writer's style, nearly as bad as that 'Flowers in the attic' garbage- but don't ask why I read that.

Brilliant on tv though.

Out of all the telly detectives, I want to see David Jason's "Frost" get a facefull of battery acid and right good kicking - that and David Jason's oh-so-funny-no-really-it-has-to-be-constantly-repeated- Only-Fools-&-Cockneys character get a beating too. While I'm at it, how about David Jason in that fairly recent World War I drama...was I the only one cheering the Turk putting a bullet in him?

Inspector Morose is plain awful as well.

You don't need to be so diplomatic, Bobby. Don't mince words - tell it like it is. :-/
