New Fan, requires away ticket application information

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Being a new fan, and having not held a season ticket before , can one of you regulars explain to me how NUFC will allocate tickets for Away games when they are sort after.(like the Man U, Sunderland and Boro games). Is it a first come first served basis with the newer the season ticket holder having first choice,(as they it very fairly with season tickets) or do they do this in a differernt unfair way? such as allocating them to those that have travelled away previously? The reason I ask is that I have pencilled in 8 away games to attend this season, four games for one son and four for the other . If I am a sucsessful applicant (which I should be going off the criteria set out above then I will have 2 or 3 seats left in my New Saet which could be used for the transportation of other fans to these venues.

How Rik - can I heartily recommend that you DON'T take one of the bairns to the Riverside on October 16. It's not the sort of place you'd want to take young'uns - threat of assault (or molestation), pollution of under-developed and vulnerable lungs, long way to travel with school the next day etc. etc.

Oh, by the way, I've just checked my diary and - would you believe it - I'm flying in from Sydney the day before - and had I mentioned previously that it will be the only chance I get to see a match while I'm in the country - and that I haven't been able to watch the lads since September 1996 - and I'll be eternally grateful - and your friend forever ..... (exit stage right, gagged and dragged off into the distance)
