AirNet Express Reports Accident

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 17 -- AirNet Express, the transportation network of AirNet Systems, Inc. (NYSE: ANS - news), regrets to report the fatal crash of one of its aircraft, a Beech Baron, in Hernando, Mississippi earlier today. The accident took place about 20 miles south of the Memphis-Shelby airport at approximately 12:00 p.m. CDT. The plane was in route on a scheduled flight from Memphis to Houston.

Joe Biggerstaff President and CEO, said, "AirNet extends its thoughts and prayers to the family of Guy Schaff. Guy was a good friend and valued Team Member and will be missed."

The cause of the accident is being investigated and AirNet is working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration.

AirNet provides time-critical air transportation services for banking customers and small package shippers to more than 100 cities nationwide. The Company operates a fleet of 118 aircraft, including 31 Learjets and 87 twin engine aircraft.
