need help, i just bought a 87 rm 125, the guy told me to put a mixture of 40:1 of gas and castor 927 of about 750mL into transmission. I said to my self, i thought you just put straight , yes straight castor into tranny, i don't know man he confused the shits out of me and my wife. and as far as gas goes, he said to just by like 93,94 octane and mix half and half of kerosene for fuel tank, he sounded like an ass, but before i do ride it i want to know what to do with lubrication, yes i might sound like a total ass, but am very new to sport, and would appreciate some feedback. Tjhank you

we'll that person is wrong in all ways. almost all 125's hold 650cc of tranny oil you can use a good 10/40 but you will be changing it alot ,but you should any way . as for gas mix on a bike of it's age you can mix your gas at a 50/1 ratio thats 16oz of 2 stroke oil to five gallons of good gas like 94 octane , in your case if your not to familir with your bike your should get a. repair manual a clymer book should have what you need to know about your bike but if you get an origanl equipment manual it is alot more indepth ,it explains things alot better. well good luck if you have more questions feel free to e- mail me at mftpal@aol.com i was a motorcycle mechanic for five years so i might be able to give you some advise down the road , good luck Mike.

I have never heard of mix gas with kerosen ! I have mixed 93 octain with VP race gas before. but I dont think I would be using kerosen NEAR my bike. if I was you I would drain out every BIT of fluid in the BIKE and do it all you self. get the repair book like the other guy said ! its like a bible for you bike they are great..
