This great client seeks an experienced SQL DBA to independently perform tasks for all phases of database designing and implementation. Responsibilities: Logical and physical database design, stored procedure design and implementation, technical support for developers and database troubleshooting. Database monitoring, capacity planning, managing of data and indexes, disaster recovery. Manage user accounts and login security addressing and documenting all security procedures of the web site database. Backup and restore user systems and databases. Import, expert and distribute data on request. Requirements: Experience with performance tuning, high volume website or 24x7 operations essential. A college degree in a related IT or business area or equivalent experience A minimum of five years professional experience in database administration MS SQL Server are required Extensive knowledge and experience with client/server, web architectuers and NT environments with UNIX/NT shell scripting capability a plus Salary range from $90K to $100K This is a permanent opportunity.
