Does anyone know if Weaver D's,(the inspiration for the title of Automatic") in Clarke County, GA. is still open? And has anyone eaten in it> If so, whats it like? Is there any REM memorabilia inside?

Sure its still open and yes there are posters all over the wall of REM. When my wife and I went there about 4 weeks ago we had the bar- b-que. Very Filling! Weaver di day "automatic" several times but ussually said very slowly "communication" when someone was slow to order. It has moved locations since the early days but is still a small hole in the wall place. I recommend getting the backed chicken though.
