New Website and California/Oregon advice

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Bob : One Thread

Dear Bob,

I first want to congratulate you for your new website. Very nice layout and your advice is always first rate! Your images are absolutely stunning. I am planning a trip to California (flying into San Francisco) where I will be a whirlwind CA tour and up the Oregon coast with hopes to get to Olympic N.P. if possible. I have almost 3 weeks. This will be a photography vacation. I noticed that a good portion of your images show California and Oregon locations, so I was hoping you could give me some advice (based on your experience) for filter tips and/or locations. Basically, anything you could share with me that might help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to help, and good luck with the new website.

Sincerely,

Sam Stone

Sam, this would be a good question for the photo.net Nature Q&A forum, where you'll get tips from CA and OR natives, not visitors from NJ like me!

You can't miss Yosemite of course, plus Rt.1 up the coast from Big Sur. Pt. Lobos just south of Carmel is a greaqt place to stop too (Ansel Adams worked there). So much more - more than I know about!
