What kind of car is SAL 35215?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

I was wondering what type of car SAL 35215 is. I work for a third party logistics company, and we have monitored this car for one of our customers. Hard to believe it is still lettered for the SAL! The last place we show it is in Louisville, KY (Dudleyos) on 3/29.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The two shipments we monitored for this car were shipped from Englehard Corp. in Attapulgus, GA to destinations in Mexico. These shipments were February and June of 1995. Routing was CSXT-NewOrleans- SP-Brownsville-FNM. I stumbled upon this car looking for another car in our history files.

SAL 35215 is a 54ft ACF 3-bay covered hopper built in 1967 from the series #35125-35224. There's a picture of one of these cars in Paul Faulks SEABOARD AIR LINE Color Guide to Freight & Passenger Equipment book.
