OK..... a new season is nearly upon us so does anyone want to have a team pick comp? If so I will run it but we need a few rule changes.

Last season I let anyone join in at any time. This was a pain! I think anyone entering should start at the beginning of the season and then that's it.

What about carrying over the previous weeks selection? A good idea as it is easy to miss a game... however there were a lot of folk who only entered a couple of selections. Should we have a limit of say 6 "carry over" picks?

Any other ideas? Anyone else fancy running it???

Why don't we select our selections before the season starts, and you will be stuck with that team unless you make a posting saying that you wish to change your team, that way each applicant will always have a default team from the previos week. And How about some kind of prize? If everyone agreed to fork out a couple of quid to enter, then you could run the season till say Xmas, who ever wins gets a nice pressy.After that you could start again and have a second half of the season competition, again with a couple of quid in from all applicants.

Ill concur with Riks suggestion , a fiver seems applicable amount , however one rule should be added ... if you post a team for that game , you cant change it 2 hrs later , cos uve seen Al limping on the training ground . First entries only .

I agree PeteT, however it will stop people not taking it seriously and only posting every 3 or 4 weeks!

I do not think there should be a prize. I am only good at things where there are no prizes. I would not stand a chance if there was something up for grabs!!

The only potential problem with prize money is collecting the money, not quite as easy for overseas folks to contribute. Unless of course you've got the international bank of Geordie. ;-) Otherwise I agree with everyone else's agreement. We're such an agreeable bunch, eh?
