Gazza for free

Who else would take him for free? I would without question. Bobby would take care of him and get at least twenty games out of him.

Actually syme, I think Everton are paying too much!!
Joking aside, when I saw Gazza playing for Boro last season he looked well past his sell-by date. Sadly, I think it's all over for him at this level, but would be pleased if he proved me wrong (again!).

Not sure he'll get many games for the Toffees. He's gonna have to elbow somebody (ouch!) out the way first.

I'd love it, just love it if he made a lot of punters VERY embarrassed, I will just wish him good luck, accept when he plays us...!

Gazza targets unlikely England call

A defiant Paul Gascoigne has vowed to make his critics eat their words and is already threatening to buy England boss Kevin Keegan an Everton season ticket.

Behind the Gazza smile lies the passion and desire of a wayward talent given a last chance of reclaiming a place amongst the Premiership elite.

Gascoigne's shock move to Merseyside to link up again with his former Rangers chief Walter Smith, comes with the belligerence now expected from the 33-year-old genius. "Of course it's a gamble for Everton, they don't just get me they get all the stuff that follows me," he said. But I aim to prove everyone wrong. I want to play again for England and I've already got my eye on a season ticket here for Kevin Keegan."

Gascoigne's arrival into the turmoil of Everton's transfer whirl of a summer will be followed by more signings - probably Swedish winger Niclas Alexandersson and Dane Thomas Graversen - to make it four out and possibly six in - and there are even genuine attempts being made to bring Duncan Ferguson back to Merseyside from Newcastle. (Very Interesting!)

Gascoigne said: "It's a big challenge, obviously, and as everybody knows I haven't got any brains - they're in my feet - so I'll have to use them to make sure I don't let anybody down. It's a gamble for Walter Smith, so I can't afford to let him down either. This is a massive club and it's going to go places whether I'm here or not. Everyone has seen the big turnaround at the club and I'm just anxious to be part of it. It's up to me now. This club has given me the opportunity to prove that I can still do it so I have to take a firm grip on that chance."

Gascoigne passed a medical this morning, and looked trim and fit when he was introduced to a mass of fans outside the ground.
