Bots maybe the Problem you have been having!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Bots are programs that imitate real people. They learn from us, sort of what we wounld think a robot wounld do. They are on the internet with us. Some of the things that go down here is because of BOTS!

Go an read what I wrote the person who wrote, there is know monorator on this forum. Beside that, I found some sites that explain this. They are trying to get the internet bots to interact with human one on one. I have a problems with writing I forget or omitt things I reread but sometimes not good enough. It was a site with bible key Arkanswas. If you can find this you will see.

Next time ask IF IT IS A BOT!

-- ET (bneville@zebra.net), July 15, 2000.

Andy Ray sometimes seems to exhibit robotic behavior. His endless posting of inaneties could be automatic.

Maybe Andy is a bot. I mean, after all, look at how hard it is to get more than a 1 line answer from him...

I'd rather be a bot than a sot!

-- cheap shot (jellias@butterbread.con), July 16, 2000.

Judging from the fact that you told the folks on EZBOARD that no one here knew what a 'bot was, I suspect that you've never seen one, or you wouldn't suggest that there were active 'bots on this forum.

I've seen some on other fora, and they're nothing like what we've seen here [with the exception, perhaps, of some of the tax-protest threads.] There's software available to create robotic responses. I've played with some of it, myself, and the output is hilarious. In your case, ET, I think you read about something and perhaps wanted to dazzle everyone with your newfound knowledge?
