Who made this cupboard?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Art Deco Society of Washington : One Thread

I'm Julius, 15 years old from the Netherlands. I've got a interest in Art deco, so a few months ago I went to A sort of cursus about it. They showed dia-slishes. On one if it, there was a cupboard, but I can't find it know anywhere on the net. It was made by the same men, who designed the french metrobords, and I think his name is F. Jourdain, but I don't know it for sure. Its a cupboard, with inspiration on nature so it was a bit organic, with a sort of flowers growing out of his side. Can you tell me who made, and maybe send me a digital photo of it? I hope you can answer it, and I'll get a e-mail soon, Thanks allready. Bey, Julius

Response to Who made it

The classic entry signs for the Paris Metro Stations are by Hector Guimard, who also designed furniture.

There is also a well known French family Jourdain who designed both buildings and furniture. There is a very large book about them which you might find in De Sleghde or in a library.
