A guy at the gym today told me there had been a phone-in on I believe 5-Live recently debating which PL clubs had made the best close-season acquisitions.
Apparently, several of the calls regarded Christian Bassedas, including one guy who had recently moved back to the UK from Argentina. This guy reckoned Bassedas is the steal of the Century (I know, it's only 6 months old, but use poetic licence!). He reckoned he is a truly World-Class player who will set the PL alight.
Did anyone hear this programme, and can you confirm what was said, and speculate on whether the praise appeared genuine?

The same guy reckons he drinks with someone who is well connected at La Stade de Merde (former player), and who has told him it is highly likely that the Munchkin will soon be off to a Lahndon club - either Chewsee or The Arse. Apparently, he's less than impressed with Mr Heeds ambition.

I hope that's true (about Bassedas)!! I just keep reminding myself of how people laughed at Houllier's unknown signings last summer. And how many of them came good during the season.
