Jay, with a bit of luck, this weekend I will be mostly doing nothing!!!(:o)

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

I think I'll join you on that front Gal.

Now the house is done I have no DIY left to do. :o) Will have to do some housework at some point mind ;o(

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Bit of sunshine would be good though! A lazy day in the garden sounds like bliss..............now if I could just find someone to wait on me hand and foot, feed the dogs, keep an eye on the cats, answer the phone, peel me a grape etc.......Ah.....heaven!!!!(:o)

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Some humky fella to wave a large fan over you......mmmmmm :o)

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

I am a large fan, well size 14 in a skirt but I don't fancy being manhandled by a hunk. I expect to be going to the quayside tonight, work tomorrow, D.I.Y Sunday or D.R.I.N.K if its sunny

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

DIY whats that again :o) I don't do that anymore.

Hell I might even wash the car! Doctor my medication is wearing off!!

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

I'm not even going to wash the car Jay. We have a marvellous little Loony man from the hom at the end of the street who washes our cars for #2.

He spends about an hour and the car looks spotless. Sometimes see him in the pub when he spends his weekends takings!!

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

I shall dine ite tonight and I shall dine ite tomorrow night, but whether or not I'll be able to stay awake till nine o'clock both nights is debatable. With two such hectic nights ahead, Sunday will probably be a blur.

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

tonight- get home 8ish, share a wine with flatmates, maybe even cook a light meal. get an early night (10-30)

saturday collect Marian 10ish, take her shopping, probably to Karen Millen - the latin curves look good in that stuff. then pop down to some shop and buy jeans. I haven't bought any in nearly 2 years - it's about time l think!

Get a shower etc, then take Marian for a relaxing, romantic meal - maybe something Spanish? Then get a taxi home together where we will talk about how damn gorgeous she is.

Sunday Get up late, pop to the garage and try very hard to talk the nice man into giving me a discount. A visit to the Aquarium, l think it's the one next to Westminster Bridge. Then Marian and l will probably read some books and try and boost her vocabulary. In the evening we will probably wind down with a massage and maybe even watch tele for the first time in an age and watch Fawlty Towers. And then to bed...

Bill you are a party animal ; - ) keep the flame alive !

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Bill, what pub do you drink in down our neck of the woods? The Vic, Westwood, Celtic, Snooker Club? just wondering :)) have fun anyway man!!

Swift, fuck off mate....you're making me jealous! the aquarium is between Waterloo and Westminster bridges near the London Eye.....big pile of shit that it is....

4 more hours for me and then the fun begins all over again....met some geordie lass in the pub the other night who's idea it was to go to this rave tomorrow night.....she's got a few mates who're coming along, two of them have blokes names!! Mick and Charles!!....could be trouble there ;))

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Gav,
The Biddick cos I don't need to take the car, just a two minute hike over Fatfield Bridge, but not so good these days, full of poxy makkems. Accompanied, and in the car, the Green - used to be the Dixielanders - or the Lambton Arms, or the Sandpiper. But democracy always reigns - if I drive there, my gorgeous wife always drives back. What could be fairer than that, eh?

They're all good real ale places apart from the Biddick, cos I'm not a lager man, but the Green in particular. Good range of some spot on beers, and not yet Quayside prices.

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Had about , how are Mick and Charles there , i was only just out with them last night .. i was wondering why i got blown out tonight : - ))

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Tell him to get up north will ya!!

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Actually have a semi-busy weekend for once. Out for dinner and to see Jack Lukeman(fantastic Irish singer!!) tonight. Saturday working at the Revs game and praying we win after a horrid, horrid road series taking only 1 point from 5 games. (ouch!) Sunday, pouring over the Boston Globe job fair listings in preparation for an assault on hiring managers on Monday. Though I may actually have another interview already scheduled for that day. And then gathering my bits together for a week of preseason Toon fun! :-)

Friday night - Worked a Blue Light Disco. God it was a boring one. Saturday night - Work a Greek/Australian wedding. Sunday - Work a Greek christening.

Monday - Back at school, but it's a student free day. Tuesday - the little (and big) buggers are back.

-- Anonymous, July 14, 2000

Ended up in Julies on the quayside last night, hangovers never lasted this long when I was younger.

-- Anonymous, July 15, 2000

Hi Tre,

I'm also working on a Greek christening, my daughter's (paying for it that is!- some time in October). Been trying to find an affordable place and trying to invite all rich greeks in the area to come to the once-in-a-lifetime event and make deposits into her college fund!

So what exactly are you doing at greek functions? (looks like you're a DJ?)

-- Anonymous, July 15, 2000

I was at a 'half Greek' wedding last year.....he's British (well Jock actually) she's Home Counties B&B but of Greek parentage....there was the normal 'dearly beloved blah blah blah' first, the normal bog stadard 20-25 minutes, then the Greek Orthodox service took over and it went on for about another hour and a bit.....very interesting, having never been to one before, but when you have to stand the whole time, and it was one of the hottest days last July, it don't half take its toll on the old legs.

PeteT....out of interest, where are you actually based and posting from?

-- Anonymous, July 15, 2000

Hell I did not want this type of week-end, extraordinary meeting of my football committee on Friday night ostensibly to didcuss arrange- ments for the Village Fun Week. The hidden agenda was to decide if after 18 years we were going to flit from the pub we work out of. Building up for some time this one, and came to a head when insults were thrown about after a stagger and late night drinking, The result was Buff was down the pub early doors taking down the team pictures and removing the trophies from the footballers corner. It was a sad moment for me cos I can vividly remember all those years back when the old team capt looked into the pub and said, "Are you the Geordie that ken`s aboot football and used to run teams doon sooth". Needless to say my wife was not impressed as one of the conditions of moving, dont get involved. Sad duty performed looking for new HQ from 2 other pubs, Golf (watching) pm, overtime shift tonite, up earlyish Sunday, motor to son`s doon Deeside and re-aquaint my dog with Angus her offspring. Boring aint it, nah its enough for me!!

A bit late as the w/e is halfway over, but what the hell.

Returned last night from a round trip of the UK. #2 son is back from university along with girlfriend (his, not mine!). #1 son buggered off yesterday for a final fling at his university having finally ended up with a decent qualification - thank God! Out on the p1$$ last night (him not me) and returned today for a "celebration".

I've been cutting the hedge (cue Cilla) and the garden. Estate Agent finally turned up with a prospective buyer - maybe I will pay his fee after all. Fancy dinner tonight for celebrate #1 son's achievement. Too much to drink (I'm lying, honest).

Grand Prix tomorrow. More booze, more hedges and more grass (and maybe some more booze). God, isn't life boring.

Bar Tender in a Greek restuarant and Function centre.

-- Anonymous, July 17, 2000

Sunday was a glorious day for hedge-cutting. Faboulous views from the top of the ladder. Great success - didn't fall off the ladder nor did I fall in the canal.
