Club Links Newcastle United Middlesbrough ArsenalMAGPIES LINKED TO DANI by Graeme Bailey

NEWCASTLE UNITED are the latest English club to be linked with a move for Barcelona striker Dani.

The Spanish international has already been linked with Arsenal and Middlesbrough, and now reports from Spain are suggesting that Bobby Robson could be ready to make a bid.

Dani does not wish to leave the Catalan giants, but is unsure whether or not he is in the plans of new boss Llorenc Serra Ferrer.

He was a Spanish transfer record signing when he arrived at the Camp Nou from Real Mallorca for #10 million in July 1999, but he has not really hit the heights expected of him and this has attracted attention from other quarters.

Fiorentina were also big admirers of Dani, but a deal remains highly unlikely as the player himself remains adamant that he wants to stay with Barca.
