D-340R Underexposure

ALL my images using my Olympus D-340R seem to be underexposed by about 1 stop. I wonder if this is common. Also, I can't figure out how to compensate for this. The instructions are not too clear to me. Thanks for any help....Don

Don, I don't know how you're taking your pictures, but you might try this. Walk up to about two feet of your subject, press the shutter button half-way down(this locks the exposure setting), walk back to where you want to shoot the picture and press the shutter the rest of the way down. This will help get the right exposure when there is a lot of ambient light behind your subject. Hope it helps. Virg
