Surely better than feeling as though a pig has sh*t in it? :-)

Eh Softie what are you on about?

I haven't heard of most of these, I think I'll phone up Blockbusters and ask if they have a copy of "Surely better than feeling as though a pig has sh*t in it?".

Don't look further than 'CINEMA PARADISO' A classic of our time.

I'm sorry....just one of those tedious bastards who quotes lines from films all the time: LT complained of worry about getting a swollen heed, whilst one of Withnail's endearing remarks in Withnail and I is:"I feel like a pig has shat in my head..."
Which is followed by the imprecation on reaching their destination: "There must and will be Aspirin!"

whats this withnail and I all about? never heard of it....what year was it released?
-- Anonymous, July 13, 2000
I think it was originally released around 88. Bit of a cult movie, not least as it was canny hard to get your hands on a copy. Then they re- released a year or so back, so there's no excuses whatsoever for missing it now ;-)Different type of humour but it's a bit like 'Life of Brian' in that the more often you watch it the better it gets. Debut performances by Richard E Grant, Paul McGann as well as by the guy you'll recognise playing Monty (anyone??) are absolutely superb. Rent it now. Oh, and look out for the Camberwell Carrot !!

Just checked it out TJC - "Withnail and I" was orig. released in 1986. I found a site carrying the full script, so I've just printed out a copy to read on the way home tonight. Then of course it'll be straight up to the local video man to borrow a copy. Can't wait for my top Friday night in !!:O))
"I DEMAND to have booze"

Went for East is East in the end. Really enjoyed it.

Uncle Monty was played by Richard Griffiths, but the man who stole the show was Ralph Brown as the drug dealer Danny. Priceless!
