Anyone got seats near me for next season?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just wondering if any of you lot are sitting near me in the Sir John Hall stand this season??

I'm gonna be up in level 7, entering through access 19, turnstile 91 and the seats are 475 and 476 in Row N :))

If not, then where are you all? :)

Answers

No. I'll be in my bed listening to the radio, or on a bar stool in the casino watching it on the bigscreen.

That`s just what I was going to ask this morning, Gav! Having said that we had decided not to take up our options, the actual applications have finally arrived this morning, and I`m feeling tempted! We are being offered level 7 in the Milburn and Sir John Hall stands, Sports Bar and Bar 1892 - though there does seem to be some debate on here as to what is actually still available. I almost wish the applications hadn`t arrived - oh decisions, decisions!(:o)

Not with your eyes poked out you can't Softie ;)))

I'm getting all excited!!

Tre get your arse over for a holiday!! I'm certain there's shitloads of hospitality to go around and I'll certainly volunteer to get you pissed!

Galaxy, I don't envy you that decision honey.....if it's any help then it's probably a good idea to keep your daughter away from all these rampant (if balding) males ;)))

God I'm so funny sometimes I scare myself....

I`ve just been checking flight prices - had to sit down when I was told that up and down in a day will be #286! With an overnight stay, the cheapest is #74 (less than it would cost me in petrol), but why do I get the feeling that it will always be fully booked! Then the price goes up to #94, then #129 - but all of these are with an overnight stay.

Obviously, it`s not the overnight thing that bothers me, it`s the fact that I have a hubbie at home, who may take umbridge at being left to look after the dogs from 9.30am Saturday until 6.00pm Sunday, just so that Yelli and I can b@gger off to watch footie! Rats!!! My heart says `yes do it!`, my head says `now it`s not really on, is it?`

Galaxy,

Run it past Pete first and see what he says.....it might be worthwile actually not buying a season ticket...I'm fairly certain that there'll be even more people from the bbs who'll be able to help out with tickets than ever before.....I for a start will only be able to attend a small amount of games but would be more than willing to help yourself and Yelli out with my tickets occasionally (couldn't do it all the time cos I've promised my cousins the use of them but I could certainly sort something out!)....

What about trains? I know they're a pain but you could be up from Bournemouth to London in 2 hours, meet up with any of the other London based BBS'ers who're travelling up and have a fun journey until you arrive in the golden city :))

Just options honey.....still very very difficult for you but it's definitely got to be worthwhile doing occasionally hasn't it?!?! even if you just get up once a month....

Gal, borrowing my tickets also has the added bonus that I've never be able to get my hands on your daughter as we wouldn't be able to go at the same time ;))))))

Thanks for the advice Gav. I honestly think our best course of action for this year will be to work out which games we could attend, and impose on our fellow BBsers for help in getting tickets. I`m hoping the away matches, especially London, will be good possibles, and even if we just manage to get up for a few of the home matches, it will still be a vast improvement on last season!

ps. Gav - I have no doubt you will be a perfect gentleman around my daughter!

ind regards The Dragon Queen(:o)

Gal,

Sounds like a plan to me.....I can't see you having any trouble getting tickets from us lot....I'm really looking forward to meeting you :)

I'm afraid that you give me too much credit, it would be your daughter that made me behave like a gentleman and not because I'd want to :))

Gav, These are new seats, you haven't had a reply on your application have you? Are these seats from someone who has been relocated? does anyone know how far back row n is.

Can I just get in a VERY early grovel to all you season ticket holders for a ticket to Boro away on Monday 16th October. I've already changed my flights to get home in time, as it's my first and only chance to see the lads play since Wimbledon (H) in '96 etc. etc.

N.B. I'll be posting this request every hour on the hour once the season starts until somebody relents and helps this poor waif and stray :O))

...and can i grovel for any tickets at SJP up until the first week of Sep when i'll be off to NZ for a whole year. Think of that. A whole year without seeing the lads. At all. A whole year. Home or Away. sob.

Gav - thanx mate. However I've this degree to finish up, and unfortunately I'm to old (28) to get a working visa. That said, I have started thinking about moving to England after teaching here for a couple of years.
