Speaking of collectables...

I have some Y2K memoribilia (sp?) and I'm wondering if it will be worth something some day. I have a video with Pat Boone, some pamphlets from government meetings, some seminars I went to, and some cartoons in the newspaper. Do you think this kind of stuff will be worth anything some day? Are you saving yours?

Good Evening I,

I hadn't thought of saving Y2k stuff as in papers. Probably would be interesting to do.

I did buy 3 magnum's of Asti Spumonti that came in gift packs with two millenium glasses/magnum. I bought those primarily for the glasses. They are quite nice as mementos. I had visions of us before the fireplace in the new house sipping Asti and looking outstanding as the new millenium came in.

The reality was we were so tired from working on the house we went to bed early and forgot about the bubbly. We will probably be ready for it this New Year's Eve.

Just about everything that exists today will have collectable value someday......but where do we store it? Will our kids keep it or trash it when we are gone?

I am a "pack rat" and my kids know it....they never comment on their future plans for my treasures.

I have a Y2k countdown clock, a Y2k cap, and a Y2k water globe of times square (you know...shake it and it snows).
