How can Wole recall his childhood so clearly, when he is only 2 1/2 years old? I can't recall event that happened in my childhood, when I was 2 1/2 years old, can you?

Why was'nt Wole punished for following the police band all the way from Ake to Ibara, when he was only 4 1/2 years old? Who was supposed to be watching him, the day he wandered

I think Wole was spared from punishment for a couple of reasons. Number one, he was so young, they probably figured he didn't know better. Number two, they were so glad to have him back in one piece that they probably didn't care what he had done.
