Yeah, I was kinda amazed when I first saw him smoking, cos of his healthy living lifestyle, and all... I dunno. Anyway, thats why his voice is so lovely. And I think its cool the way he always tries to smoke off-camera anytime he does interviews - so as not to be accused of influencing young smokers... It could happen!

Hey Steph, in the documentary "Rough-cut", from the Monster tour, when they played in NY - there's clips of them sound-cheching and Michael is smoking a fag. Its in the first 5 min's.

Also in the interview with Dave Fanning, about the time Up was released - he was smoking a cig there, too. That interview was edited into 2 different programmes: "REM: Eyes Wide Open", & "Music Express:REM"
