Why is it that cybersex feels just like typing?

Even in today's virtual reality, some things are realer than others.
For example, when you're pretending to fly a Boeing 747 on a flight
simulator, you're really just sitting at home, holding a joystick. And
when you're having cybersex, you're really just sitting at home pecking
at a keyboard or holding... something else. In either case, someone is
helping your stunted imagination follow along familiar lines. Remember,
no matter how old you are, it's not too late to get a life.
