A friend and I (live in the East Bay, CA) are looking to take a black and white film developing class. Any ideas or suggestions on where to find one? Thanks.

Your local community college will have them such as Diablo Valley College.

Chabot or any of the other community colleges are likely to have a class. There are probably credit classes and adult continuing education classes. Call your local CC's.

I live on the other end of the country, but it may be helpful to you to search out your local museums also. I go to our local community college here as the univerity has no lab or phot classes (believe it or not). I know our art museum offers classes that are much less than college, and have alot more freedom in thier classes to cover alot of subjects. Also you will usually find sesoned photographers taking refresher classes who have had alot of practice, where ever you go be a pest, ask tons of questions, ask about projects that are not planned for your class, alot of teachers are willing to go out of thier way if you are too. In other words, GET YOUR MONIES WORTH! and have fun... jane
