My mother has had a heart attack and will be operated on Monday at 3. I ask all of you to pray for her.

I am sorry to hear that, James. I will ask our church to add her to our prayer chain.

Ten years ago, my mother-in-law had a severe heart attack. At the hospital emergency room, she went code-blue three times. They finally decided they would have to do emergency heart surgery even though they could not get her stabilized. We asked what her chances were, and instead of getting a 50% or 30% chance or whatever, we were simply told to have a minister handy and make arrangements. We knew what arrangements the doctors were talking about. The family was allowed to see her one at a time just before the surgery, and we all knew why: the doctors were letting us say goodbye.

I told my church to begin praying, and contacted several friends I have on the Internet. Soon there were people in Australia, South Africa, Canada ... even a couple of friends I had who were backpacking across Europe ... praying for her. Well, to make a long story short (too late!), she went into the operating room going into another arrest. She was in surgery several hours. But she survived, and thrived, to the amazement of her doctors, who now call her the Miracle Lady. Ten years later she is still healthy as a horse.

I will pray a similar miracle for your mother and entrust her to God's hands. God bless, James.

I will be praying for her, for you, and wisdom and skill for the doctors.
