It's all wrong

Those people who get corporate tickets, don't even pay, occupying seats watching two teams whom they not only don't really support but don't even come from anywhere near the area's the teams represent. There only there to shoulder in & build up "contacts" hoping to get a bit of publicity. Who am I talking about, corporate fans buying up the displaced SOSers spaces that are so despised by INUSA or Kevin Miles in Euro 2000.

At least they normally turn up. Did anyone notice the acres of empty seats for the second mens semi-final at Wimbledon - seats that countless thousands of real tennis fans would have died for? Disgraceful display of the abuse of financial muscle.

That's commerce for you.

Although those whose bums are on the seats might not pay, you can rest assured that those selling the seats do pay - usually through the nose.

And might I suggest that if it weren't for "corporates", the prices for us mere mortals would be a lot higher. Or we wouldn't have the likes of Shearer to chear every other week. Sad, but true.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm talking of the hypocrisy of Kevin Miles who complains about corporates at SJP yet stayed for the whole Euro 2000 on.... you've guessed it corporate tickets.

Most of the expensive seats are taken up by Toon fans who have got richer and older. Football's a broad church and shouldn't be hulity of inverse snobbery. However, when bairsn can't get into SJP, we need to take a long hard look at ourselves. Screach, merchandise bought Alan Shearer and the SOS campaign/emabrgo has buggered this.
