Give A Mini-Bio

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread

Give us a mini-bio of yourself. Tell us, where you're going, where you've been, where you're gonna go. Your name, age, and anything else we might--or might not--want to know. I'll go first.

My name is Drew. I'm 14 years old and I live in Lexington, SC. I have a sister, SB, who is 17, and about to be a senior. I've got my two parents, and two cats. Our computer is in the "take you clothes off and get naked after you've gotten dirty outside" room, AKA the mudroom. I like girls, especially brunettes. Girls in their underwear walk around my house all the time, and I have really gotten used to it. I won't freak out on my wedding night. I write snarky recaps for The Real World on my website, I post on the MBTV, Hissyfit, Fametracker, and SQUISHY forums. I've noticed how much Holly from RR9 looks like Pamie. Anyway, I live in a white house, which isn't extremely huge, but it's nice. My mom is a clean freak. I'm going to music camp. See all of you beautiful people when I get back!

Hmm, OK I'd be James, resident of Matraville (a place so obscure probably even some of the residents have never heard of it), suburb of Sydney, Australia. Date of birth: November 15, 1974, which makes me approximately 25= (plus a couple of months). Dux of Matraville Primary School, 1986. Bachelor of Arts with Honours from University of New South Wales, 1997. 2= years unemployment, ended two weeks ago by scoring a part-time pharmacy assistant's job. Volunteer on community radio station 2SER. Not terribly interesting, really. For more details (including photograph), should you feel a particular need for them, click here.

hi, my name is irene, and i am addicted to those little ginger root candies you can only by at an asian grocery store.

i have the most magical of all birthdays... 5-25-75, and am married (y'all remember THAT event) to some guy i've known for 13yrs. i forget his name, but i think he's drooling on my pillow right now...

work... kickass job as a grad. coordinator for a really really big university... in the middle of austin... no more clues.

likes: chocolate, laying around all day in my pj's, stir-fry, and dr.pepper.

dislikes: frat boys and their uppity bitches, people who give me funny looks b/c i look young, so therefore i don't know what i'm talking about, and any diet drink. ick.

i've decided to apply for grad school next year, and hope to make it in... kinda risky, as i'm applying in the department i work in... cross dem fingers!

I'm 24, completely lost in love with the most incredible man in the world. See? I'm so head in here that I'm describing myself with the amount of love I have for someone else. This is almost sick.

Anyway - I live in South Austin, have a long history of seriously crazy roommates, hate that I still read Cosmo (badbadbad) and love raw oysters served on a cracker with lemon juice and tabasco.

And dried squid.

I work for a telecommunications company. Hate my job. I know I know, gift horse and all that, but WHATEVAH.

My name's Jan. I keep an online journal. And remarkably enough for someone in these angst-filled Gen-X days, I am, for the most part, happy with my life.

I have a great boyfriend who is sexy, makes me laugh, cooks amazing food, and isn't afraid to talk about Deep Relationship Issues when the time comes. I live in an utterly fantastic city. I have a great job that is intellectually stimulating, and my co-workers are interesting, fun people. My friends are wonderful.

Interesting Facts About Me:

I have traveled to four of the world's major mountain ranges, one of which was in Europe. I play the piano. I have only two piercings on my entire body, one in each ear. Pretty much everybody I've met either loves me or can't stand being around me (mostly the former); I tend to inspire violent emotional reactions in people. I am OK with this. I love Coen Brothers movies and sushi -- not at the same time -- and I've never once heard an N*Sync or Snoop Doggy Dog song. Color me deprived.

That should about cover it in a nutshell.

I'm Jen (duh). I have lived in North Dakota all my life (whoopee! And yes, I think the movie Fargo was fab). I'm 26, been married for almost 3 years to a wonderful guy, and we're expecting our first baby, a boy, next month. I'm blonde, about 5'6" (give or take 1/4"), and I currently work as a sales analyst in the marketing department of a mostly 4-state courier company, which my stepdad just happens to be the president and founder of! My whole family works here, there are over 300 employees, so I don't see them much, but I do manage to see them once a day.

I was born in Grand Forks ND, my dad died when I was 1, and my mom remarried when I was 6. I have a half-brother who's 17. I grew up in Bismarck ND, moved to Moorhead MN to attend Concordia College, a private school with a really awesome music program, and graduated in '96 with vocal performance & music ed degrees. I lived in Fargo until December, working for a brokerage firm and teaching aerobics, we moved back to Bismarck in December.

I tend to make people feel insecure about themselves, and it sometimes makes them lie about how "fab" their lives are, when they really aren't. I am OK with this. Sure, some people call me a bitch occasionally, but I've always considered that a compliment, 'cause it means I'm doing what *I* think is right, and not letting someone else's useless opinion change mine. It's better than being called a spineless, ignorant idiot. :)

I love reading, good clothes, lip gloss, good coffee, Aveda haircuts, a really good workout, the color black, miniskirts, great shoes, cats that are social & talkative (tabbies RULE), singing, driving on long trips with mix tapes and a pack of cigs, being creative (good thing I'm in Marketing), cooking (especially when I don't follow the recipe exactly and turns out tasting way better), emailing Shelagh (my soul mate sista) every day, AbFab, preparing for the arrival of our little one, and the idea of being a mommy.

hi - i'm alex. i'm 29years and 11 months old. i'm excited to be 30.... i know that's weird. i've never been afraid of growing old. i think it adds so much interest, wisdom, depth, etc.. to a lot of people.

i live in st. paul minnesota. i just got engaged. this will be my second marriage... and definately my last :) i have no children - but we're talking about trying in a year or two. i'm a production artist at an advertising agency... i've been doing this since i graduated from college in april of 1999. i usually love it.

my hobbies are beading necklaces, growing houseplants, keeping my fish and snails alive and well. i am very inactive. i'm trying to work on that. i've always had jobs that keep me active up until this one - so it hasn't been a problem, but my butt is widening as we speak, so i'm going to have to start something or face the fact that i won't be skinny my whole life.

i grew up in a fairly large city in iowa... i moved up to mn in november of '92 for a job that only lasted 9 months... but, i'm glad i moved here. i love the twin cities.

i have a tatoo and my nose pierced - i guess those are the two weirdest things about me, other than the fact that i have to dye or cut my hair every 3 or 4 months. but, the funny thing is - even though i have these things - i still look like the kind of girl a guy introduced to his mom. parents always love me... i just have this innocent look about me, i guess.

i fall in love too easily... i used to think this was a big fault... but now i look at it as a blessing. i've been in love four times in my life and i feel very lucky. sometimes it hurts but for the most part those times were very exciting for me. it's euphoric to be in love.

i think that's all.

Hey:) My name is Allyson. I'm 17 1/2 years old (My birthday is November 10, 1982...I miss Election Day by a week, damnit!!) and about to be a senior at Sarasota High School. I live on an island (a real island) off the west coast of Florida with my twin sister, my little sister and my parents. We have two dogs: a maltese named Coconut and a yorkie named Kiwi who love to beat each other up.

I love the speech and debate team at my school and was captain of the team last year...this qualifies me for dorkness, which I don't mind that much. I love English and hate math and chemistry, but my favorite class of all is American History. I consider myself to be a walking textbook of American history of the 60's (ask me anything), but I also love the '20's, the Industrial Revolution and the western movement (I am such a freak). I also love politics:)

My favorites (Here comes my 60's freakiness:):

My favorite bands are the Monkees, the Beatles, the Mamas and Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Janis Joplin, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Talking Heads, Queen, and a few others I can't remember. My favorite song of all time is "Summer in the City" by the Lovin' Spoonful. My favorite movie is "The Graduate" and my favorite actor (If only he were about 40 years younger...) is Dustin Hoffman. My favorite TV shows are The Monkees, Friends and The Simpsons. My favorite books are "The Majic Bus: An American Odyssey" by Douglas Brinkley and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith.

Random Stuff About Me:

When I grow up I want to be either a politcal speechwriter (I am a very ardent Democrat) or a political commentator for a news station. Secretly, however, I would love to be an actress:) I have every single Monkees episode on tape. I have never been kissed:( I am addicted to computer solitaire. I cannot live without Coke (caffine addiction), Advil, cheddar Goldfish crackers and potatoes. My first celebrity crush was on Kermit the Frog:) I have lived in Illinois, Virginia, and Florida.

I just have to post on this one, partially cause of what Allyson said (hehehe, my birthday is ON election day! November 3, yeah baby!), partially because I like to talk about myself.

I'm Elyse, I'm 16, and you already know my birthday. I'm unfortunate enough to be living in Montville, CT, and a 20 minute drive from either of those spiffy casinos...ooh, so much fun. As of August 28, I'll have to go back to the hell that is Montville High School and squirm my way through junior year...ah, pity me. No. Don't.

I work at Sears. That in and of itself is enough to drive me right over the edge (must have new job, must have new job) but I've been told that I'm stupid/crazy enough already. There's a compliment. Montville is blessed with a complete lack of transportation system, so I'm pretty much stuck at home during the day. I'm a pyromaniac. I throw burning paper airplanes out my window for fun. I also sit up on my roof, tie string around action figures, hold on to one end of the string, and hurl said action figure off the roof. It looks just like they're flying!..ok yeah.

Stuff I Like: Rocky Horror Picture Show (i consider it the 8th wonder of the world), drama/theater stuff, computers (yes, a geek I am), I laugh at anything, i make very large messes and forget to clean them up, music: Portishead, Cake, Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Three Doors Down, Tori Amos...

I used to be a tv star. I was a character on a cable access soap opera for a year...but the guy who writes/directs it just recently decided to stop, so I'm all sad about that :( . But it was the funniest soap opera you ever did see...it has a website...www.geocities.com/ineveryheart/ ..

I have a website too. It's a journal, in fact. www.angelfire.com/journal/fiercecreature/index.html

Everything I do makes it in there in one form or another.

I'm Susanne. I'm a Pisces, 22 going on 23.. born and bred in Boston, MA (yes, the city Boston, not the burbs, for any other MA people out there). I am currently a 5th year senior at Umass/Amherst, with a soon-to-be degree in Anthropology, and I adore my major-- how many people are lucky enough to say that?!?.

I have one younger brother 21 yrs. old, also a senior at another school. He has always been the genius, whereas I, while never lacking in great potential and brains, have little motivation and am inherently lazy. I am not going to live in Boston after a late-in-coming graduation. I think I will live in NY, but where and with whom I have no clue.

I interned at PBS, and hope to produce anthropologically-related documentaries for public broadcasting (commercial media has little appeal to me, although PBS is increasingly just as commercial, but that's another story!) The field is very difficult to get into, however, so I'm hoping to snag some more experience before I really get out into the real world.

I studied abroad in Egypt for a semester... and I truly believe that I was born to go there. I left a little bit of myself there when I left and came back with an entirely new aspect of me.

I love to travel. I get bored easily. I think bumperstickers are a catalyst for a more functioning democracy. I love music, daydreaming, and puppies. I loathe ignorance, or close-mindedness. I detest when I am being close-minded, and strive to be as open as possible to people and places and things not like me.

I find religion fascinating, and raised "Protestant" (whatever that's supposed to entail), with my entire extended family Catholic, I shunned doctrine at an early age, and felt pigeonholed by the "church", particularly as a female. I therefore feel 'religion-less' you might say. I don't really affiliate myself as anything really and think that all religions have something to offer everyone-- Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Taoism, you name it.

There is no one real truth out there I believe, but multiple truths.. after all, if so many thousands of "THE" truths exisit, how can only one be right?

Sorry it's late and I'm exhausted and suffering from a migraine and delirium.

I'm also opinionated and verbose, if you couldn't tell!!!

I'm erin...kinda a lurker on these here Squishy boards, but I attempt to read Pamie's entries religiously. I live in the "biggest little city"...Reno, NV. November 4th was the day I popped into the world (yay for all us November baby and Scorpio chicks!). I go to the University of Nevada, Reno, full time masquerading as a Psychology major. I just started working at a local TV news station after leaving my job as an ASP/HTML programmer at a local internet company. I love the working at the station! Right now I am a video editor/tape op, but I am delving into various other tasks at the station (photographer, reporter, producer, assignment desk...). I have a very odd cat named Sebastian. He enjoys lying on his back and has an obsession with the bathroom. He MUST be in that bathroom at all times if there is a human in there. I believe in astrology. I weightlift. I am interested in a man who has no interest in me. I have been soda-free for over a year and proud of it. I have a Fleetwood Mac obsession. Yep, that's about it. Nice to meet you all!

Would you believe it - another devoted Squishy reader from North Dakota! I grew up in Grand Forks, ND but have lived in Colorado (Denver area) for the last ten years or so. And yes, I also loved the movie "Fargo."

I'm 34 and have been married for three years to a wonderful guy named Tom. I've finally graduated from college (after having taken too much time off), and am now looking for a real job. I illustrate a couple of comic strips, which is usually fun and sounds interesting, but doesn't pay much. I have no children and two cats.

I have two tattoos (both done after age 30) and got my nose pierced a few months ago. I tried having my belly button pierced, twice, but my Big Beautiful physique wasn't having any of it. I'm experimenting with keeping my natural hair color for a change, and so far the novelty of it hasn't worn off (except how can you tell if your hair is growing if you can't see the stripe?). I've been trying to learn to play the guitar, but haven't been keeping up with practicing much lately. The content of my web diary alternates between inspirational and annoying, depending on the day.

I am the owner of an industrial-sized toilet paper dispenser with my name on it, autographed by all the members of Moxy Fruvous. I hope someday to learn how to do housework.

My name is Rachel.

I'm 24 (25 on Aug. 3rd), about 5'10", and I'm from Victoria BC, Canada. My skin is pale, and my eyes are hazel... though with this hair colour, they look grass green. My hair is quite short and eye- searingly blue/violet. I smoke B&H Golds, even though I know they're very bad for me. I have 2.5 cats, all of whom I love very dearly. I'm very much in love with Mr. Rachel - not his real name of course, but you get the idea.

I am an operator for an answering service. I like my job because I can let my body language take over when I'm dealing with a difficult customer and not get fired. If I was working any other customer service job, sneering at someone and knocking on their forehead would get me pinkslipped immediately - but tapping on my screen, fingering it, rolling my eyes, and shaking my fist at the ceiling is a RIGHT... you know, so long as I can continue to (how does the saying go again?) "smile with my voice". Ha!

I'm a raver. I go to large "underground" parties with a few hundred of my closest friends to dance the night away to electronica, meet new people, and occasionally get harrassed and shut down by the police. Not that I can blame them. You know, what pressure from voters, the uninformed and sensationalist press, and city council. If they want to think that raves are all about drugs, they're more than welcome to... but if I could keep dancing while you comb the crowd for your little delusions, that would be really nice. Thanks!

Anyways, I digress.

In addition to my paid job, I do PR and marketing for http://rave.victoria.bc.ca - and you'll note that my utter lack of HTML abilities indicates that I don't actually WRITE for the site. :)

What else... oh yes. I *heart* pamie. I also *heart* stee. Yay pamie! yay stee! we miss you stee! The two of you (in conjunction with Brunching Shuttlecocks) have gotten me through many a bad week. Mad props. Your mutual science is infinitely tight.

Jackie Collins, 25, NZer living in London, happily married, happily about to change jobs, all-round sickeningly happy really. Not much else to say, really. No major dramas on the horizon. Everything's cool. However, I feel absolutely ancient considering you're 14, Drew. So thanks for that!

(I know this isn't strictly speaking a pimp thread, but I'm here if you want me.)

Representing the Squishy devotees from Arkansas, my name is Julie and I'm nearly 34 years old. (19 shopping days 'til my birthday, y'all. I'm partial to movies, music, books and mohair, in case you're making a list...) I'm newly engaged to one of those guys who when you first meet him you say, "No way will he ever look at me. Dream on, girlfriend." Turns out he's totally normal and wonderful, and loves me too. Go figure. Found my dog Comanche on a bicycle tour from Texas to Oklahoma, and he is the light of my life. (Next to whatshisname mentioned above...) Recently returned to my hometown of Little Rock after 12 years elsewhere. Currently working as a software developer, and freelancing as a Spanish translator.

Best features: auburn hair, ability to tell a joke well, unbounded love for dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Worst features: tendency to obsess over video games, inability to wear shoes for more than an hour at a time (they just ANNOY me!), my love of Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and my resulting ability to ONLY gain weight around my midsection.

I'm Kelly, mostly a lurker around these parts, but occasionally I can think of something to say. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, I currently reside in Owings Mills, a suburb northwest of the city. I just turned 25 on 6/24, and have 1 older sister, who will be 29 in August. She has been married for 5 years, and just had her first baby in May. I am really enjoying being an aunt!

I have a pretty cool job as an administrative assistant right now, but I've recently passed the MD bar exam and have been sworn in to practice law here, so I have been looking for a position where I can put all my legal skills to good use.

I'm Katherine, and I post in the forums altogether too frequently. I, too, am a Scorpio (11/18), and will be 25 this year. I live in Kansas City, but I'd prefer to be elsewhere (elsewhere has yet to be defined, though).

I work for a web hosting company, and am overawed by the amount of information people have to retain to keep up with internet business.

In high school, I was our debate captain, too (woo hoo!). I lived for debate and forensics - I assistant coach at my former high school now for the debate squad and love it. ;)

I like to write, play piano, and perform, but I don't do any of these nearly often enough. I love to drive in my car, read, and laugh. I laugh loudly. I'm an ENFP. I love autumn. I want to visit the ocean again. I need coffee right now. I despise humidity. I'm wishing it was later in the week than Tuesday, and I'm wishing the person I stayed up so late talking to last night had been next to me as opposed to hundreds of miles away. I've lived in PA, NJ, KS, IL, MO, and CO, and I'm sure I'll live many more places before my time is up. I thrive on going new places and meeting new people. Did I mention I need coffee?

Hi all. Can I sit down here on the step, my legs really can't take all this standing and walking anymore. (sits down) aaahh that's better. Now let me tell you a story of a man named Jed. - oops sorry mind wonders sometimes. I'm 39 fast approaching 40!!!! Left high school many years ago when the teachers informed me that 'perhaps I would be better suited to a work environment' hehe. Years spend in and out of jobs, some I liked, others not. Working now part-time as a cashier for a security company - love it and the people I work with. I am separated with a almost teenage son. Have a great and sometimes warped sense of humor and love music of most types, bowling (when the legs allow) and driving. One regret is not getting my motorbike license when I was younger. Love Pamie and Stee and Jim - the only journals I have read so far. Also have a page of my own which started small and is growing. It's not a journal but it's mine. Jobears Corner Nice to meet you guys *hugs* (crossing fingers the html worked)

I'm 22 and I was the youngest person in my 1995 high school graduating class. I was born 12/27/77, and the runner-up was born 12/12. He was also the cutest and most popular guy in the class, but we are inextricably linked for being the young'uns.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts and went to an idyllic New England university with ivy clinging to pillared brick buildings. I spent a semester abroad. It kicked ass living in London and learning how to enjoy new places rather than just be impressed by them.

After graduation I moved to New York and became a straphanger. I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan at a non-profit publishing trade association. My boyfriend works thirty blocks north of me. We never meet up for lunch.

I hate trying to find a parking space on street cleaning day. I hate overly trendy people who spend eighty bucks on a stupid bottle of cream. I can find worth and class at Target as easily as I can find it at Tiffany. I hate those goddamn fake flowers Carrie Bradshaw keeps wearing on Sex and the City like some crappy magician. I love watching that show and I love ripping it apart. I love my best friend. She kicks ass even though she's difficult. I smoke if I feel like it. I like merlot. And chocolate pudding mixed with Cool-Whip.

I hate my boyfriend's family for condeming me for not being Jewish. I'm ready to move back to Boston just to get away from them. I'm also outgrowing my job. I want to go to grad school. I had to tentatively schedule my wedding for June of 2003 just because I want to graduate first. I love Led Zeppelin; I would have loved to be a Robert Plant groupie in 1971. My parents are happily married and wonderful. I still have 3 grandparents.

I write stories in my spare time at work. Actually, I want my boss to just leave me alone to write. I mourn for our beachfront cottage in Maine that was sold when my Grammie got sick. It was my idyllic childhood paradise. I loved getting up at 6 a.m. and being packed into the backseat with grocery bags full of hamburger rolls, fruit punch and ripple chips. I thought Roman Candles were magic back then. I thought they shot out neon superballs, and that if I swam out far enough, I'd find them at the bottom of the lake.

I'm Lan, turning 22 in less than a month. Just graduated from Cal with a degree in Sociology, and now I'm working in the marketing department for a software company outside SF. I used to have short, spiky, pink hair, a nose ring, and a tongue ring. Now, I have long black hair, and two closed up holes that closely resemble micro- dimples. I never thought I'd work in a cube, but turns out I'm happy here.

I went to Catholic school for twelve years. I don't go to church. My 19-year-old brother is a textbook genius who can never match his socks. My parents are still married, go to church every Sunday, and pray for my soul. I skipped out on school last spring and spent it in Vietnam. For a while, my Vietnamese was kickass. Now it sucks again.

I live in sin with my boyfriend. I'm happy. I'm in a lump stage, but I'm trying to get myself out of it, reluctantly. I used to write a journal two years ago, and I'm trying it again: slinkstar.diaryland.com

Who is me, huh? Well first of all thanks for caring:) I'm a Libra on the cusp of Scorpio which lands my 21st birthday right after the summer ends :( I adore plain M&M's and all kinds of ice cream and bacon and beef when it's medium rare and all kinds of things that make me fat. I have low self esteem and a low tolerance for stupidity. I'm way into music and movies of all kinds. I get scared very easily. I want to be an actress but right now all I am is a waitress/bartender and a senior english major at Podunk U. in Jersey. I'm always looking for love and never finding it. I'm addicted to journal sites. I'm a budding writer though I'd kill for a much higher word count. I'm addicted to coffee but it no longer wakes me up. I'm a diner person. I like karaoke but only because it's the only showcase for my singing that I know of. I sing the first act of RENT in the shower quite frequently and watch Kids in the Hall every afternoon. I try to spice up my life because no one's gonna do it for me. I love my family, I just don't want to live with them anymore. The most important thing I've ever done in my life was to spend a semester studying in England and traveling in Europe. It had a major impact on my life. I love my friends and try to be as good to them as they are to me. "Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while"

WAAAAASSSSSSUP! I'm Kim from San Jose, CA. It sucks here! Too crowded and too expensive. But we got some hella cool people and great weather, so I guess I will stay!

I'm 26 and I still live with my folks! Pretty sad huh? Yeah my boyfriend lives with us too! I am a customer service/inside sales blah blah blah admin, which I really hate, but I didn't know what I wanted to do so I ended up here. I really would like to get paid to watch TV but I have yet to land that job.

Life isn't so sucky though, I have great friends, the same friends I grew up with. We hang out alot and always have so much fun just talking shit to each other and being silly. Last month we rented a motorhome and drove to LA to go to Disneyland and Universal Studios. It was sooo rad! I have wonderful, loving, understanding parents, and a rad, funny, smart boyfriend.

I love you read Pamie's entries, I think she is too fucken funny and Drew was right on, she does look like the chick from RR9!!!

I like to watch TV; Will and Grace, The Real World, E True Hollywood Story, crap like that. My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind and I LOVE LOVE Prince, you know, the Artist. I have the symbol tatooed on my leg, but I got that long before he changed his name to that!

I want to get married, and have a least one kid before I'm 30. My boyfriend already has one child, a 7 year old daughter whom I not allowed anywhere near...(crazy baby mama drama). It pisses me off.

I love to go to Reno and Vegas, I like to gamble and drink and lose my money : ) I like to go to Disneyland and other crap like that. I love to travel period!

Well that's me...in a nut shell...

Peace in yer hood yo!

hi y'all... greetings from the republic of cambridge (which is only funny if you've lived in boston). figured this is a good time to break out of lurker-hood (ok, i've posted a few times) and get friendly.

standard bio stuff: leo, or goat/fire if you use the chinese system. sort of lost track of how old i am... oh, yeah, birthday #33 is coming up soon. my friends have organized a kick-ass party for me: dinner, baseball game (with my name up in lights on the scoreboard), and lots of beer and air hockey afterwards. medium height, short hair, glasses, and i've been told i'm attractive, but i tend to disbelieve it. work for a computer company, and live alone (my divorce was final on april first - how funny is that?). well, not really alone - two cats.

i don't read enough anymore. music is really important to me; the right song can take you to another place entirely. i adore eddie izzard, and would sleep with him in a heartbeat. if you don't know who eddie is, you're missing out on a brilliantly funny comedian. there are never enough hours in the day to get things done, largely because it's really easy to get distracted by several hours of solitaire or snood and forget all about the laundry. i'd like to find the discipline to garden again. gardening makes me feel close to my grandfather, who always grew beautiful roses.

three big regrets in my life: never competed for the olympic gold in gymnastics, never saw the grateful dead live, didn't move to alaska when craig asked me to. things i'm grateful for: finding the few good friends for whom i would walk over hot coals, living on my own and finding my center, having family that matters. things that make me happy: the perfect sunset and the maxfield parrish blue sky that comes after it, laughing hard enough to lose your breath, the luxury of spending a day at the spa doing girly things like getting your lashes tinted, driving really fast with talking heads 'once in a lifetime' cranked up on the stereo.

quote i found recently and really like - 'the summer moon hung full in the sky. for the time being it was the great fact of the world.' - willa cather

My name is Andi and I am 26 and a Taurus. I'm pretty new around here, but these boards are a great way to kill the workday and I'm enjoying them, and I'd like to stick around a while.

I live in Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles. I grew up in the area. When I got out of high school, I kept trying to leave and move somewhere else. For some reason, I always ended up right back where I started. :::shrugs::: At this point, I will just accept LA as fated for me and leave it alone. Besides, I like Los Angeles. We've got everything here.

I have been working full time and going to college (very) part time since high school. It will never end, no matter what anybody says, it will never ever end. Ever. Currently I am the sales assistant for a computer hardware manufacturer. We make high speed, low latency, fully scaleable, interconnect hardware. Whatever that means. Something about LAN and SAN, I know that.

My current dream is to switch to working part time and take more classes at school. I recently struck a deal with my brother that he can live in an property that we jointly inherited, as long as he pays me rent. Sweet. The part time dream gets closer and closer.

I'm dating a nice boy. We've been together 2 years, and that just seems odd. In the beginning, I didn't think we would make it past 3 dates. We weren't meant to be, we aren't soul mates. But he's a good guy, a nice guy, a funny guy, a kind guy. Somewhere in the past 2 years we managed to fall in love, so there you go.

I have a dog named Molly who I love too much to admit and still have dignity. I'm addicted to diet coke and iced tea. I have plenty of friends, but 4 girls that I have known forever and couldn't imagine living without. My favorite movies are Dangerous Liaisons, American Beauty, Drop Dead Gorgeous, When Harry Met Sally and Annie. Yes, Annie. I managed a record store forever, so my musical tastes are too eclectic to mention. I keep a diary (andi) on opendiary.com, because I do not have one iota of HTML skills. OK, maybe 1 iota, but not more than that. I love frozen banana pudding and hate that you can't get it in LA. I want kids more than anything, but refuse to have them until I can quit work and stay home with them. (not for them, for me.) I buy too many shoes, I'm embarrassed to say how many. Lots. Lots and lots. I can't help it. Right now, I'm playing way too much of the Sims. I may be the only person on earth who has never seen Survivor.

Is that it? Must be, I can't think of anything else.

Huh.

I'm 19. I'm short. Sort-of reddish hair (dyed), plans to add shockingly unnatural red highlights are in the works. Eyes vary from green to blue to gray, depending on what I'm wearing. Mainly they're gray, as I wear a lot of black clothing (no, I'm not goth, although my mother will tell you differently). I guess I'm kinda cute sometimes. I'm pale. I only wear silver jewelry (plain silver rings on each ring finger, one insignia ring on the left middle, two silver hoops in each ear, a watch with a leather strap and a silver face, and a infinity-sign necklace). My nails break too often. I like sparkles.

I don't get along with my family very well. I indentify strongly with Daria Morganstern (MTV's "Daria"), Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles, 10 Things I Hate About You), and Dawn Weiner (Heather Matarazzo, Welcome to the Dollhouse). I don't indentify at all with Britney Spears, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or anyone on the WB. My 15-year- old sister does. This may explain why we don't get along.

I have a boyfriend. His name is Justin. He is also 19. He'll be 20 two weeks before me and he feels compelled to rub that in sometimes. He has black hair that falls in his eyes sometimes. He has beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes that I'm incredibly jealous of. These features, coupled with the fact that he smokes (Camel Turkish Golds) make him a very attractive induvidual. I met him on the Internet. He hasn't killed me yet so I take that as a good sign. We both hate American Pie and Dave Matthews, and he's turned me onto The Controls, Blur, The Pixies and Garbage. He's the only naked man that's ever turned me on. He makes me happy and holds me while we're sleeping. He's messy.

I don't have a job right now and I hate myself for it. I'm off to Indiana University in the fall. I'm living in an apartment with my three best friends - Alayna, Beth, and Jess. Nothing in the entire house matches and that's okay. I'm taking lots of classes that don't pertain to my major. I am in a beginner ballet class and I'm very excited about this.

I've been reading Pamie's journal since it started. Sometimes I post on the forum, more oftentimes I lurk. It makes my day when I post a topic and people respond to it. My life is small.

Hi! My name's Shmuel, and I'm a 27-year-old Orthodox Jewish liberal feminist fundamentalist male writer, editor, proofreader, and college student. As an English major, my particular area of study is the nexus where language, gender roles, and sexuality all come together. I like pizza, '80s pop music, and reading everything I can get my hands on.

That pretty much sums it up, although you can always check out my online journal if you want to know more. :-)

I write for BellaOnline and have an online journal Suzyramble

I have 3 tattoos, multiple ear piercings and I'm heading towards a nostril ring soon. My husband and I live in rural VA.

I was born in Niagara Falls, NY but have spent most of my life in VA.

Well, melissa, I am 22 and also graduated from high school in 1995, a fellow young one!

I grew up in the San Francisco bay area. I think it is much better for kids to grow up in cities, and if I ever breed, I'll raise my kids in a city where they can have the same diverse experiences that I did.

I went to a very small college prep catholic high school where I got along well with everyone but had few close friends. I had many great friends oustide of school. I will never go to a high school reunion, but if a "northern CA punk scene circa 1994" reunion could be put together, I would go in a second. In high school, I discovered the music that saved my soul (punk rock and traditional ska) and did a fanzine about it with my best friend.

I went to an extremely exclusive and expensive private catholic college in San Diego for 3 years and hated it. I have only 5 or so people from there that I keep in contact with, one of whom is a professor and two of whom are librarians that I worked for.

I'm now at a huge, inexpensive, diverse, midwestern public college that I love, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am a paid geek for the student technology services department of information and media tech. at UWM, where I am lucky enough to have amazing and fun coworkers who make me excited to go come in every day. I am an art history major with one semester to go. I might go to grad school at the University of Kansas.

I have a huge web site where some say I tell too much about myself. I'm still doing fanzines. I still love punk rock. I dye my hair and paint my nails various shades of red and purple at the hair salon where I work one day a week. I will someday probably be the only hairdresser with a masters' in art history and an MCSE. I have been vegetarian my whole life. I have 2 15 year old sisters. My stepfather taught me about dumpster diving at a young age. I have friends all over the country that I love travelling to see. I still read comic books. I am obsessed with looking into other people's lives (such as in online journals) and pop culture.

Wow, never done a bio on myself before, but here goes...

My name is Megan, but all my mates call me Mogs for reasons nobody knows. I'm 25 and work in Sydney, Australia, as a web/graphic designer for one of the larger internet companies here.

I live in a small suburb on the coast that's surrounded by rainforest so to get to work I spend approx. 4 hrs each day commuting on trains which results in both chronic tiredness and occassional train rage.

I have a boyfriend who's 23 and an apprentice carpenter. We live together in a house that we (mainly he) built about 2 years ago. It's not huge but I consider it to be a funky little thing.

My favourite thing in the world is going to concerts and I am very much a punk/grunge follower. Apart from that I love live comedy and creating art out of beach items.

Pamie's website is the first thing I check each day, followed by the sluggy freelance comic strip.

I did the big hair chop about a year ago so I now have scruffy blonde hair. One day I would like to dye my hair vibrant blue. No reason.

I absolutely love warm summer temperatures so I can't wait for this bloody winter to be over and done with!!!

Hi kids. I'm Jenna, otherwise known as The Jenna Monster. I'm 20, but I alternating between thinking I'm ten and thinking I'm forty.

I'm in North Florida and ready to get out, but you can bet your ass I'll never leave the beach behind - I'm a water baby and I don't feel right unless I see the ocean at least for a few minutes every day.

I'm not going to school right now, but when I am in school, I'm a physics major. Physics is entirely wrong for me, but I love it nonetheless.

I used to write for PiG Publications Dot Com, a now defunct webzine. I did music reviews and interviews, plus a few random and pointless articles. I have a passion for music that makes no sense to me, as I can't sing a note and am literally incapable of playing any instrument. Indie rock is the love of my life.

I'm naturally very clumsy, although I look garaceful until I actually fuck something up. I also look much younger than I am. I smoke a lot, mostly just to keep my hands busy. I have an enormous ego and cannot pass up a chace to talk about myself, which is why I love meeting new people. I like just getting to know someone, listening to all of the new things about them that they tell me and telling them things about myself.

There isn't really much to me, but no one knows that until it's too late and they already like me.

Born: 4/9/74 - I love being an Aries
Height: 5'2"
Weight: If I weighed 20 lbs less, I'd tell you
Eyes: brown and very myopic
Hair: color depends, but long and straight

Favorite songs include: Africa (Toto), To Sir With Love (the 10K Maniacs version), Send Me on My Way (Rusted Root), More Human than Human (White Zombie), and anything by Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen and Dave Matthews Band.

I am a teacher and fundraiser for a small charter school just outside the heart of downtown Houston. I am also the founder and Executive Director of stagewright, inc., a nonprofit theater mentoring program for at-risk youth. I am an only child of divorced parents. I have lived in Texas all my life and really do love it.

I could survive on sushi and banana pudding for the rest of my life if I had to. I like to read, sing, camp, cook, bake and drink (I only take on one-syllable hobbies apparently).

I've been reading Squishy for a year and am sad that I haven't been able to post much recently because of work.

Hi! My name's Wendie, I'm 17, birthday of November 23, 1982. Every few years, my birthday falls on Thanksgiving, which I don't enjoy too much. I live in Wisconsin and graduate next May, something that scares the crap out of me because I as of yet have no clue what to do with my life. I live off of Mountain Dew and Subway subs, have a cat (who doesn't know he's a cat), and volunteer at the local animal shelter, for whom I also maintain a website. I love to read and write and and seem to be an all or nothing type of person.

Oh Lord..lets see if I can avoid the long-winded version of this and keep it centerfold bio simple..nnnkaay?

My name.. is Inigo Montoya, You killed my fathe...wait..no..wait. I mean..my name is Lee Schrader. I also live in Arkansas, Julie. Regretfully..*sigh*..Sorry, I hate it here. I grew up in Tulsa..so, there You go.

I am an extremely old 29...going on about 80. Believe it. True. And Holy Crud..all You Scorpios out there ROCK..especially You Katherine ;^). November 19th, is the date of birth in the year of our Lee, 1970. (No, I don't have a God complex..I am just a dope. Heh)

What else is essential? Hmmm. I am 6'4". Blond hair, blue eyes. Big, bad, biker, viking, Kiefer Sutherland looking dude.

I am married. She hates me being on the computer. *grin* I have this marvelous little miracle being in my life. His name is Lucas. He is six months old, and his steely gaze already penetrates everyones soul that comes withing peering distance. His giggles bring a cool breeze. His kisses melt the hardest hearts. Quite the little charmer he is. Do people bow to him or is it my imagination?..*grin*

What else? I have an online journal, but geez, people... I think I have posted more of my life on here over the last year or so. Besides..I don't want e-mails that say, "You already said that in Your journal"..thank you very much. But if You ~really~ want it(god forbid) then e-mail me.

By the way, Jackie?..I still have your old P.A. Girl journal bookmarked..is that not hilarious?..I even posted a little frowny face comment..ages ago.*grin* I am glad to have a link to the new one, is what I'm saying here..in my..wordy way.

God, You people have some cool jobs. Don't knock them. I work in a factory where the current heat wave of around 105 degrees feels like anywhere from 115 to 140 degrees inside there..depending on what oven You work around. Suckola. Gatorade is my friend.

That's about it. Shit..that wasn't simple. Sorry. I used all this room and said nothing. Cool. Maybe it was like a centerfold bio after all. ;^)

My name is Alexis, I'm 25 (26 on 8/19), I live in a small town in southwest OK. I was born here. NO, I don't listen to country music and I don't drive a truck. =)

I went to the University of Oklahoma. Most of my family did, too. Except for my oldest brother....he went to Texas A & M. boo hiss.

I'm athletic. Well, not as much as I used to be....I played softball in college and still play some. I was a cheerleader in high school and can still do a back handspring.

My boyfriend and I just recently broke up. and just think....I was going to become a Texan for him. ha!

I would love to have a child. Two children, actually. But I really need to have the first one before I'm 30. I don't want to be an 'old' parent. I have a friend that is 45 and pregnant. Nope, not this chickie.

I love music. I love both Dave Matthews and the Pixies. That must make me a freak. I listen to pretty much everything. My favorite song is "Melt With You" by Modern English. Yeah, cheesy, but I love that song.

I plan on going to grad school. Now only to do it and stop talking about it.

Hola! My name's Sandra and I'm currently living in my birth-town Chicago (uh, yeah, it really is windy). I grew up in Texas though. Pasadena, Texas (look up Urban Cowboy to get an idea - although it doesn't quite look the same). I've been in Chicago now a little over a year and am getting ready to move to _______

hey, i'm emily, one of many.

i'm 18 years old and will definitely exercise my right to vote in november. all i have to do is pick a candidate. hmm. this is difficult considering i don't like either of my choices at all. third party? throw my vote away? yes, please.

born december 11, the day before my mom's 25th birthday (and 9 months after she got married to my dad), i'm a sagittarius. my family is close, but full of freaks. my parents are still married and i have a younger brother and sister. pablo is 12 and a music freak-- he just spent 2 weeks at camp studying music theory-- and margot is 16 and obsessed with art, animation, and japanese culture. our family dynamic changed when my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.. it's treatable, but not curable, so we're currently experiencing the effects of chemotherapy. ugly, but it seems to be working.. for now..

i have an older brother who is not related to me by blood or even by adoption. he was an unaccompanied minor from cambodia/vietnam and we were his last foster family. we wanted to be. he wanted a family and we wanted him. so everyone was happy with the arrangement. he moved in with us when i was 10, i think, and still lives in beaverton with his wife and his wife's mother and sister. they're all cambodian and very amusing. the happy couple are expecting a baby in a couple months.

anyway. i grew up in beaverton, oregon. i lived in the same house there for exactly 10 years. it had a creek and we picked wild blackberries every summer. we had pet ducks and rabbits and guinea pigs and even once a dog, but it barked so much that our neighbors practically forced us to give it away. i started public school there, but i was "too smart" for their first grade-- though my kindergarten teacher was wonderful and later my rabbit 4-H leader-- so my parents stuck me at a local parochial school. my memories of socializing in grade school are worse than middle school. i changed to another catholic school in 5th grade and stayed there through 8th.

after 8th grade, i had planned to attend a catholic high school on the other side of portland, but my dad was transferred up north. moving changed who i was dramatically. i started 9th grade at a public high school after living in olympia for a *week*. that was a hard year, but it got better. i was a little bit of an honors geek, and a little bit of a normal-student-overacheiver. my only activity throughout high school was journalism, a program of which i was a big fan. i was very involved and learned a lot. i had several really great teachers there and met some of my best friends. i also attended a few college classes and took some AP exams.

i will attend the university of washington, seattle, this fall and study god only knows what. i'm interested in writing, psychology, media, culture, art, ideas, whatever. i just figure i'm going to college for the experience and study things i find interesting and have no ultimate goal or career path. i want to do, study, and be a lot of things in my life.

i'm a geek. i do a lot of stuff with the computer. i've been designing webpages since 8th grade. my boyfriend is an even bigger geek. geeks are very, very cool. we met online and he still lives far away, but it's good anyway. the airlines must love our business.

these are interesting; keep 'em coming. :)

Interesting timing, since I'm currently asking some of these questions of myself...

Hey, it's Mike. I'm 27 years old, unmarried, unattatched, unpretentious and underrated. I'm an online journalist on the outskirts of Washington D.C., fairly near where I was born and raised. I've lived my whole life in the same 60-mile radius, and if I think about it too much that just depresses me. So I don't think about it.

I'm also a graduate student finishing up a Masters in International Affairs, so props to anyone who could help figure out this one final course in Science, Technology and Complexity. It's more confusing than economics.

I have one brother who just got married, and had a very Norman Rockwell-eque upbringing, assuming that he was depicting Chanukah instead of Christmas in those winter paintings. Any faults I have are mine and mine alone.

I'm a very good columnist, a mercurial shooting guard (in basketball -- I don't moonlight at a bank or anything) and a great one for telling jokes with a straight face and remembering lyrics to 80s songs. I know all the shortcuts between suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia and Baltimore. I have too many things to do and too few hours in the day to do them, which is unfortnately true for many people in this area. I'm an incurable romantic and a cynical Easterner. I've seen U2, The Judybats, Depeche Mode, Les Miserables (in Washington and London), Rent and Miss Saigon.

I'm not as driven as my resume says I am, nor as much of a slacker as my daily online browing would seem to indicate. I'm intensely loyal. I can quote the first 18 lines of Canterbury Tales in the Middle English and tell you why the Entente Cordiale (signed in 1904 between Britain and France) shaped the rest of the 20th century, and there are many days (including today) where I draw a blank on what my phone number is.

And, of course, I'm always the happiest on days when Pamie updates. Xeney's journal and this one were the first ones that I really got into (along with Kim Rollins' Sugar and Preserves), and they're still the first two I check every day.

My name is Jim, I'm a 57 yr old Taurus, grew up and lived in upstate New York, moved to Rhode Island almost five years ago. Married, three kids... ages 31, 18 and 15. I guess I still think of myself as a programmer but since late in '95 I've been working in software education: design courses, create the graphics, write the books, teach the course, train other teachers, sometimes do customized training. I enjoy my job, look forward to it... I sometimes get to travel to interesting places (so far that's meant an annual trip to England, plus I've been to Sydney, Honolulu, Mexico City, Nice, Vienna... and in a few days I get to go to Pittsburgh *grin*)

I also am one of those people who has an online journal, mine's jimsjournal... besides my journal entries there's a longer autobiography...

A bit earlier in this thread Joanne said that she liked to read Pamie and Stee and me (Thank you Joanne!) and she also gave her address, but a typographical error left out the colon after http so her link would get you a 404 since it would try to catenate her address with greenspun.com... but she has a very nice site and I think you should enjoy it (besides which, Pamie and Stee have lots of readers but I only have a few, so I need to provide personalized service) so go visit Jobears Corner

Thank you
Jim

Okay, guess I didn't get the address right either... It should be Jobear's Corner

Go visit Joanne's site.

ah crap, this wasn't letting me submit. just checking to see if it's the length or if it's this forum topic. ::testing::

-- Anonymous, July 13, 2000

::trying this again::

my name is Amber, I'm 19 [since may 16] and I live in houston, tx. I've lived here all my life even though my second home is near cleveland, ohio where my grandparent's and cousin live. I used to visit them twice a year [xmas and summer] up until last year when I refused to go because of personal and physical problems. I ended up going in the fall since I didn't go to college.

I've always been rather odd, inbetween being really shy in school [not saying hardly a word, just listening in and pretending I know these people I sit with] to being off the wall obnoxious and outgoing [this was more when I was younger or when I'm with friends I'm comfortable with]. it was all confusing to me since I wasn't sure which was really me or if I was holding back when I decided i couldn't speak out and be crazy anymore. I was sad and depressing and would hang my head down in crowds. even with friends. no one really noticed me there and I got low self esteem. I did get a pick up junior year when I met a rowdy group of girls who I could sing and be funny with in class. I started to come out some.

I've always been easy to get along with unless you hurt me and I'll want to know why and I've been hurt and rejected alot through my short life. it's made me cynical and wanting to jump out my window [*someone* pointed out to me that I live on the second floor so I wouldn't really hurt myself too badly...huh huh thanks..hehe].

I am very sarcastic and like to speak proper english [I speak ebonics sometimes just for making fun or being silly like when I add a 'yo' to the end of sentences like 'that's crazy yo!'] and add the 'u' in words like humour, colour, favourite...that's what makes people think I'm either canadian or english..either one. I just like the whole culture of it and it looks better that way. whenever I see colour written 'color' I feel like it's been rejected and I want to change it. oooh soo frustrating!

I haven't been to college but I graduated from high school in may 1999. I didn't get my diploma till august since I was sick and couldn't do my community service till later. it was a trying time. I still have no direction, but things are better. I live in a townhouse with my mom [dad lives 10 min. away; they're divorced] and I'm about to do webdesign for this company. I call them my client since they asked for me specifically to do it like I'm prestigious. I'm sure I'll have fun with this since I can do it from home.

anyway, what else..what else...I like anime to death! [sailor moon, pokemon and now tenchi muyo] I have tons of memorablilia and vids and comics. even some action figures. oh yeah, I like to sketch anime abit also. I write alot [I have a journal site: hazycolour.com] ...journal, poetry, prose, stories, even write my dreams down in detail. I like photography [b&w or artistic specifically] but mostly to look at, not to take. even though I have taken some funky photos myself with my digital camera.

hmmm, I'm socially phobic..don't get out much. I try very hard to help myself even moreso than making others feel better since they worry. it's still hard but I see it becoming easier...I see a breakthrough coming and I feel more content about where things are going there. still confuzzled over the rest of my life including love life. I got rejected over and over in that dept [not gonna discuss it].

I like music and doesn't everybody? favourite groups are radiohead, the cure, belle and sebastian, looper, the get up kids, a perfect circle, depeche mode, smashing pumpkins. I also listen to elliott smith, tori amos, and fiona apple.

I guess that's about it and that's me. always trying to follow my dreams..woo!

Like, hi! and stuff.

Name: You can call me Al. But I won't answer. Try Milla or Lorelei or, if I know you offline and can talk instead of type, you can call me by my real name. It isn't that hard to suss out if you look at my e-mail address.

Bust: 36C. Not sure how that happened. I was a 32A or so until I graduated from college.

Waist: 24 (on a good day). Actually, my waist isn't the problem. It's the little Buddha belly under my navel that doesn't respond to exercise (not that I do that much) or diet (see previous parenthetical comment).

Hips: I've been too scared to measure them for a year. I wear size 10- Tall pants and the waists are always too loose and the hips and bum...well, I don't want to discuss it.

Height: 5'9", but I slouch horribly.

Weight: Oscillates wildly. I mean, vacillates. Fluctuates. It does that thing where one day I'm 128 and the next I'm 138. Maybe my scale is broken.

Date of Birth: 15 Oktober 66

Star Sign: Libra. So very, very Libran. (Or, if you prefer, a Fire Horse, traditionally a very inauspicious sign for women.) Peacemaker, iron fist in a velvet glove, hedonist, sensualist, able to see both/all sides of an argument, quiet, fond of sweets and pretty things.

Turn-ons: White Russians (a.k.a. The Lebowski), tall/brunet/handsome men with accents, sex (but I'm VERY choosy), the RT, books, music, writing, art, reiki, tea, the moon, velvet, clove cigarettes (on rare occasion), travel, scones, Oriental design, Spring and Autumn, fireplaces, cats, toys, barefootin' with weird toenail polish, tarot decks, jewelry (esp. rings and earbobs), sleeping in on high thread count sheets, spooning/holding hands/cuddling, fencing, swimming, yoga, archery, corsetry, black clothes, glitter, tube mendhi, in jokes, getting along with my exboyfriends, cartoons and comic books, convertibles, days off, the rock'n'roll lifestyle, dimly lit clubs, words and languages, French manicures, computer geekery, food that is bad for me, KL cologne for women, non-sensible shoes, longish dark hair (esp. with a fringe), intelligence, wit, charm, manners, taste, kindness and scones.

Turn-offs: My arse, stereotypical romantic gestures, embarrassment, rudeness, Mr. Whiffy Pong, assumptions, ill communication, Kid Rock, backwards baseball caps, beer, sports talk, bad breath, mullets, belching/farting, bigotry, beefy blonds with white eyebrows, my belly, mouthbreathers and nosepickers, wrasslin', kudzu, sweat, Buckhead, coconut anything, roaches, bad drivers, "meat with veins" (stolen from elsewhere), spotty skin, over-familiarity/touchiness from people I barely know, dysthymia, facial hair, being put on the spot, being shy with low self-esteem, TV, wedgies, blisters, splinters, sand in my shoes or undergarments, stupid people, arrogant people, bitchy people, stupid/arrogant/bitchy people bothering me, Michael Jackson, uncomfortable silence, colicky infants, brevity, and stepping in cat hork.

How to get me into bed: A complicated process that I am not sure I know the rules for. I'm so choosy, though, that if I DO find you attractive, if the feeling is mutual and if you're not a serial killer (etc.), you might stand a chance.

Ambitions: To conquer depression, to stop making excuses for not being as creative as I used to be and to start painting/writing/drawing/singing/performing more often, to conquer my shyness, to improve my health, to get certified Reiki II, to travel, to be independent, to finish paying off the last of my debt, to own a copy of the dB's "Like This" on CD, to meet someone who is perfect for me (and who I am perfect for), to get a good night's sleep, to pare down my packratted belongings that I don't ever use, to never stop learning new skills, to have a job I love, to be happy.

BTW, "Meat with veins" wasn't a sexual comment. :) Someone was talking about finding unwanted items in food. Bones and gristle also fall into that category.
