Does anyone have the time to tell me how to use the SoftPEG multimedia feature that is installed on my PC? (Windows 98) I bought a Video CD the other day and it will not play (the message is CD not recognized on no CD in CDrom...just give me step-by-step instruction on playing a video CD I thank anyone who takes the time to answer. SoftMPEG is Creative Mpeg player for VCD. It's not that great. It comes with Sound blaster Platinum Live card. I de-installed it on my system and use either Jiaos Mpeg player or VCD cutter or better yet Window media player (the best) to play my VCD. Jiaos software is more versatile with XVCD disc, otherwise Window media player will do. Here is how I usually play my VCD with window media player:

1. open up window media player (d/l the latest version 6.4.xxxx don't use the 7 beta). 2. File - open - browse - CD-ROM drive:\MpegAV folder\AVxxx.dat 3. Alt-Enter to toggle between full screen display and normal 100% (352x240) display.
