---I'm forwarding from priv email, hope Jim Doesnt Mind--- Has anyone had the lower fairing blister or melt due to heat? What temp have you been registering?

I was told that the extra fan is just for redirection of the heat into the air tunnel that leads to the rear tire. This would help with tire temps. Most of the cooling is done with the huge radiator. This is secondhand information of course.

No blistering. 1,200 miles, some on racetrack but almost none sitting in traffic. Water temp goes to about 210 at standstill before fans bring it back below 200. Have noticed that the reflective material inside the fairing could use some regluing in spots

My f4s has a extra radiator under the big one with an extra fan. Have all the f4ses this radiator with fan?The first bikes have alone an fan? Ben

did the f4s have some termal problems?if it is not why the mount an extra radiator with fan on it? My bike comes easy on 100 degrees celsius in city traffic.normally about 70-85 degrees celsius.I don't care but i am really curious about the second radiator.

ben: I was out riding around yesterday in 90+ degree F heat. Even in stoplight to stoplight traffic the water temp didn't rise above 212 and went back down under 200 as soon as I was moving. On the highway the temp was around 170. I wish my 916 would run as cool.
