free Great Pyrenees Puppies

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We have two very sweet registered Great Pyrenees dogs. The male has the Saint Bernard markings and is very frisky. The female is white and is very subdued and gentle. We mated them this spring and she had puppies on April 27th. They are all big bundles of fur and fun and very healthy. I love to watch them while they investigate the barn and romp with the animals and children. Alas, the time has come to sell them, but I cannot stand the idea of selling them to city people who want a "trophy" dog and do not understand their temperment. So, we have decided to give them to homestead families that have space and animals and have always wanted a Great Pyrenees. Are any of you out there? There are 2 conditions attached to the gift. First, the puppies are NOT for resale. We will not register them (although we could) because we want you to take the puppy with the understanding that its part of your team to enhance your homestead, and a part of the family. They have been raised with both animals and children so they are socialized. The second condition is the arrangement of SAFE transport to your home. We live in South Carolina. You may come pick the puppy up or make arrangements through proper channels to have he/she transported to your home. With the heat, we are very concerned that they do not end up as a statistic of heat stroke. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me with details about why you want a puppy and your dreams of homesteading.

You are a wonderful animal person. If I had my goats and fences ready I would love to have one but at this time I am not set! It would not be fair for the dogs. I am sure you will not have a problem finding great homes on this forum! Good luck! Debbie

Renee, Oh my what a wonderful offer! I love Great Pyrenees dogs. I worked on a dairygoat farm in Tennessee and ended up helping raise the dogs too. I have a small herd here in Kansas, 1 buck(Nubian) and 3 mature does and 3 doelings. I would love to have one of the puppies and I believe it would be too hot to ship them this time of year, plus have heard some horror stories about that too. I have my itty bitty farm here 3 1/2 acres, and have my Jack Russell Terrier, Dinki as my farm dog. I have wanted a guard dog since I started fencing off the "wildlife preserve" out back for the goats. Most of the predators here are dogs let loose to run or just dumped out. There are coyotes too but they have never come that close. If you decide who gets one, let me know, I have wanted to drive to Tennessee to visit friends for quite awhile now and could go on to South Carolina (what a scenic drive) I love dogs of any kind, when I was a child every Christmas that was all I asked for but never got. karen

My family and I will be moving to northern New York. We are considering a gaurd dog for our small flock of Jacob Sheep ( the multihorned type) We want a Great Pyrenees. Do you no how muck it would cost to ship one to Wyoming. Good luck with the puppies.

I am in need of a colored female great pyrenees. I have one that is 10 months old, but she has a rare, serious case of hip displasia and I will have to put her down before she is 2. She is a wonderful pet and she was going to also be used for breeding. I have no interest in showing dogs, but I would like to breed and have the puppies AKC registered. If I can show you that I will not use a puppy for showing, is there any way that you can register a female pup for me?If you have one, I would love to take her home with me. I already have 2 other great pyrenees dogs. I live on 5 acres, so there's plenty of room to run and I have goats and horses so she can do her duty, guard. Please email me if you are willing to let me have one.

Thanks, Candice

We love animals of all kinds and would love a Great pyrenese, I have outside animals. 15 pygmy goats, 3 dogs, 3 cats. One of our watchdogs is old and will be passing away from natural causes. I think they only live to be around 12 yrs old. She has cataracts and arthritis, but shes the best watch dog we've ever had and need to replace her with a pup, but want the pup to learn from her while shes still here with us. I need a good outside watchdog, and a protector for our little herd. Thank You, Kim

Renee, Do you live in Aiken, S.C.? I lost your E-mail. I had a virus and my computer crashed. I'm getting ready to come down to my parents and to pick up a pup. I hope this is you. Please call me or E-mail me. I also ran an add in the Aiken paper trying to find you. Thank You, Kim

This might be an old ad but she told me her pyrenese was due again shortly. Then she told me that she had puppies and would save me a female puppy, but I lost her E-mail address and couldn't get ahold of her and just found this ad again finally. I didn't know how I looked it up the first time. I hope I have the right gal from S.C. Please contact me as soon as possible I've been so worried that you gave our puppy away. Just please let us know what has happened O.K. and Hopefully you still have one or two left. Thanks Kim
