Sony DSCS 70 Digital Camera and Windows NT

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Here's my problem. We just bought a new Sony DSCS 70 digital camera and were wanting to connect it to our Windows NT workstations to download the files. But our machine won't recognize the camera. I came to the conclusion that because of NT's limitation on Plug and Play capabilities the camera wouldn't work. So, if anyone knows of a place to get a patch or have any suggestions, please, OH please write me!!

A friend of mine solved my problem of installing the DSC-S70 on a Windows 2K computer.It4s working now, not thanks to Sony.....They were of no help...They apparently don4t care for their customers.... If you want to know how the problem was fixed it4s better to email this friend of mine; he will explain you .I can4t explain you myself because I really don4t understand these computer stuff. His Email is tide1000@attglobal.net.Good luck

Sorry, Kevin. As far as I know the Windows NT o/s does NOT support USB ports. Your options: 1) upgrade to Win2k, 2) purchase a mem-stick card reader, 3) obtain a mem-stick/floppy adapter, or 4) obtain a mem- stick/pcmcia adapter.
