Firstly, how stomach churning was his eye? All red and Terminator-looking. I felt a bit sorry for him, apologising and saying he'll never do it again and finding that Bobby is saying (about ten pages later) that it's like a knife wound to the heart when a young player behaves thus.

Not entirely sure - one of the tabloids that was in the Costa Cafe on Camden High Street! Dyer has apparently phoned and asked to be interviewed to make an apology. He said he was so drunk that he can't remember how many girls he had on holiday. He also said "What do people expect, though? Does anyone really think I'd marry or settle down with girls like that"(or words to that effect). Came across as being mortified and concluded that he was going to settle down to repay the faith YBR, KK and the Toon fans had placed in him.

It was in the News of the Screws......and Dougals summary of it is pretty accurate as I read it.

Slightly OTT possibly.....but their time in Aya Napa was little more than you would expect from a bunch of early 20's lads on holiday together, why are YKD, Ferdinand et al supposed to be different.......just cos they are footballers with lots of money......"but he promised me his undying love!"......oh yeah.....get bliddy real you silly cow, wake up and smell the coffee.......he wanted a sh@g and would promise you anything.

Are we also supposed to believe that YKD or Ferdinand et al has passed on this video footage of the gang bang......no I think not, so where did it come from.....step forward young lady and speak!

The Grauniad was in awesome form on Saturday. The photo on the front of the sports section didn't fit the caption. They had graphics showing the fall of wickets in the cricket, but got them wrong and then - and we have only got as far as page2 so far - they had the likely line-ups for the Euro 2000 Final. France looked OK, but Italy were a bit unusual lining up with Bergkamp, Kluivert, de Boer etc. Class - you can't buy it. Or bye it for that matter.
