meaning of 'the gold bug'

Hi, i just real 'the gold bug' and i was wondering what the whole meaning of the story is? is it just about a group of me who found treasaure and then the man 'legrande' told jupitor and the narrator how he came to figure out where the treasure was? also, is Ligea about a mans love for this woman? and in 'Loss of breath', i need a short summary of the story as i found it a little confusing. thanks fr you help!
