PREDICTIONS LEAGUE  THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Well, France won the Euro 2000 with a well taken Golden Goal and as announced earlier in the week Gus won the predictions competition. With an unassailable 16 point lead after the second semi-final it was then left to the following group to battle it out for second place.

As I posted earlier in the week, going into tonights final game, Scratchy, Screacher, Softie, Galaxy, Tom and Pete T were all still in the hunt for second place, but only it was Scratchy who came in with a six pointer on the final match to pick up the second slot. So the final placing at the end of a well fought and enjoyable contest are as follows:

GUS - 113

Scratchy - 97

Softie - 91

Tom - 90

Galaxy - 87

Screacher - 86

Pete T  80

We have the BBS equivalents of France, Italy, Portugal, Holland, Spain, Yugoslavia and Romania listed above, but only a visit to the web site will confirm who is the England of this contest or worse still, who are the Germans at the foot of the league!

The full table will as usual be found on the Daily Toon site. I have sent it to Andy this evening, so hopefully it will be up on line reasonably early tomorrow (Monday) morning and you will be able to pay a visit to http://www.dailytonn.co.uk to find out where you ended up.

All that is now left to say is, thank you for taking part in the competition and ask you to look out for the Toon Prediction competition, after a few tweaks to the rules, it will be coming to a BBS near you soon!

Thank you fellas, really enjoyed this competition. Gave an added spice to procedings to have publicly stated a prediction rather than, "I knew that was going to happen". Much appreciation for all the hard work.

Hear here good fun and a good warm up for the real season. Mrs gus is still standing by the post box waiting for the return tickets, she said she is not worried about the season tickets or the 5,000 quid.

She now thinks that I am taking someone else as I told here that I only won it for the glory of it!!

Sorry this is not interesting, but Scratchy has not posted and I have nothing to cut and paste.
