Just like to say "The Perfect Storm" seems to be following the "Titanic" ritual... Hear near LA it was sold out on Friday night at two theaters I went to...There's a lot of hoopla on TV -- specials and all that...Good job George!!!

It really is! I saw it and it made me cry at the end just like Titanic.

I'm from the UK and I've only heard about Perfect Storm through this board. Anybody got a brief outline of the film without giving away too much?? Thanx!

Trying to be careful and not give away anything here...if you've seen it, does it end like it did in real life (and the book)?

"The Perfect Storm" is a true story about six men on a fishing vessel, the Andrea Gail, who are making one last run in late October for swordfish and battle a storm which is a confluence of three separate weather systems. The film remains faithful to the book and to the real-life events.
