After doing loads of research on digital cameras, I had my heart set on the new Fujifilm 4700. Then I ran into a problem I can't find an answer to. I run a two year old Power Mac 6500 (System 7.5) that only has a serial port - no USB. The 4700 only downloads by means of a USB port. Is there no way I can use this camera? I can't afford the camera and a new Mac at the same time!

If your mac has pci slots and there is one free there are several pci cards that will add USB functionality to your machine. I like the Belkin card personally. You will have to upgrade to System 8.6 or above. This may be a good time to upgrade to System 9 as 7.6 is pretty behind the time and many of the newer programs require a later OS.
