Frustrating

The Ronnie runs a big story on Mpenza on friday and then follows it up with nowt the next day I can see Mondays news being something like.... The Chronicle can reveal that stories suggesting Mpenza is near to a Newcastle move are wide of the mark with Italian giants Napoli likely to secure the Belgians services. They have done this too often over the years

Yeah, it's what lazy journalists do. Instead of actually doing any investigative work and reporting the news, they make it up themselves. It's a lot easier and a lot cheaper to do it that way than to actually do any work.

"Wide of the mark." That's one of Alan Oliver's favourites! He usually says it after the Sunday Sun has said we're going to sign someone. (I've said it before and I'll say it again - don't believe a word you read in the Sunday Sun until they're in a black and white shirt.) As for Impenza; I glanced at a Belgian paper on the net this morning and they reckoned he's on his way here. Well that's the impression I got with my first year Dutch "skills".

Well just to really cheer you up this morning SMB, the aforementioned Sunday Sun carries a story this morning saying the Arse, aware that we're looking for an experienced keeper, have offered us David Semen for #1mm. Perleeease!
That would really boost the confidence of Harper and Given wouldn't it? Can't see BR being that daft - unless of course he doesn't rate either of our keepers.

Oh no clarky, not Seaman, he's finished and he's lost all his spunk (delib.)!

Let somebody else pay his wages; IMHO, there's no place for 'has beens' at NUFC.

Of course with my luck, this'll be the first time the Sunday Sun gets it right!
