At last, a floor diagram for the ER!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Wow! just found a very cool interactive floor plan of the ER complex here:

It's VERY detailed. Someone was really watching closely!

Just to add - looking over this map really helps you understand the episodes better! For instance, in "Such Sweet Sorrow" when Carter is found sitting in the dark in the suture room... on the map you can see that the suture room is the most remote, isolated room of the entire Emergency Department (and he was sitting in its farthest corner)... so it makes sense he would go there to "hide."

Oh and one more thing: there is a floor map for the 1st and 2nd seasons for ER which is somewhat different than it is currently:

It is also very interesting because you can see how close Curtain 3 is to the Admit Desk. (It's only about a hall way away.) That proves how loud the music really was at the Valentine's Day Party and how close Lucy and Carter were to everyone else, yet they couldn't be heard or helped. It makes it even more tragic.

Does that address work for anyone else? I tried it and it sends me to a Japanese site. anyone know? Thanks

It worked for me, but you're right - there is Japanese writing on the site. However, the interactive part of the map is written in broken english.

I get to the site, but when I put my cursor on a room, all it say is "ER Floor Map" or something like that. Does anyone know how I can get it to say specific rooms?

sorry if I'm stupid, but I still can't find it. any help would be great.

The map uses Java to show the room descriptions, so if your browser can't handle Java, that may be the problem.

Tracy - Thanks so much for posting the info about the floor plan - I have always wondered about the exact layout - the map helped so much! For example, I've never noticed that the elevators and staircase are in between the admit desk and the trauma rooms - I could never get it straight in my head. Thanks again!
