I remember when I was 11 working out how old I would be in the year 2000. That was because of the weirdness of writing 1980 instead of 197something. I remember that day as clear as yesterday and thinking that 32 was jolly old. I'd like to go back and give myself a clip round the ear, cheeky little get!

32!! Cheers Softie you've just managed to make me feel young again at 26!! I think I'll go out tonight and get lashed.

Happy Birthday!

How amusing Softie....I used to think the same thing when I was about 13-14 and I couldn't believe that I'd be 32 and have missed all the big year 2000 celebrations.......I was half convinced that i'd be so over the hill that life just wouldn't be worth it!!

Congratulations tiger!!

Bliddy birthday's on Sunday....while you lads are staggering around Regent's Park p*ssed, I shall be painting the kitchen wishing I was sober :-)

Hmmm - when I was 11 or 12, we'd never even heard of year 2000 nevermind think about how old we were going to be. And before any of you make some cheap jibe, no we weren't wondering whether we'd see the end of the war either!

Happy birthday Softie. Forget the painting and give Mrs Softie a day oot in Lahndaan. I reckon if you walk 1/2 mile to the tunnel entrance, you could hitch a lift to Regent's Park in about 5-6 hours. What more could a lass want than an afternoon feeding the ducks while her hubby plays footie? Howay man - ye knaa it mekks sense!!

So why not go out on the p!ss Saturday night? Paint fumes are wonderful for curing hangovers! Probably.

Anyway, have a good 'un!
All together now....."Softie, he's our hero! Softie! He's our hero!...."
:-D

Painting kitchens , sounds a bit like a creoscoting the fence type celebration .. glad to see your following Auntie Alans example , why not geth strippers in too ? ; - ) Have a good one Softie , kept that one very quiet bonnie lad , which is unlike you : - ) Congrats !

Sting, I announced it about a week ago, so it's probably fair to say I was even less quiet than usual about it :-)

Happy Birthday, Soft One, your future child (son?) hasn't been mentioned recently, when's THE birthday?

Hoping all is well, your bud, Bud!?

Robert is still officially due on 31 August, but we're expecting him a fortnight earlier so probably during the opening game of the season...right after Shearer's fourth whistles passed Barthez into the back of the net and Taggart goes ashen-faced and collapses in the dugout clutching his chest....

When I was a tearaway 18 yr old, hell-raising at sunny South Shields I joked to my mate that we'd still be coming here when we were thirty, how we laughed ...... guess where we were on Friday night, at the ripe old age of 33.

Happy Birthday Softie
