When Gwen's Away the Fans Will Play

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Gwen's Trailer Trash Forum : One Thread

So Gwen thought she'd take a week off for some much needed rest and relaxation. Well, just who does she think she is? She said not to flame her on her forum while she's away and she would be checking on it. Well-Gwen, you aren't going to be checking your forum because you'll be too busy shopping, visiting friends and just plain having fun, so there!!! OK, a flame for Gwen. May the candle of your vacation burn bright, long and warm. And may a flicker always remain in your heart. Is that hoky or what? Have a good time!!! And if you DO check in on your forum, you are a very sick woman :)

Hey Gwen, what do you think of those crazy $2 coins up north? Helluvan idea, hey? Canada rocks! I *heart* Aero bars. And their Kit Kats taste better.

I for one an thrilled that Ms.Gwen will be gracing our fair city (Toronto) with her presence. I can't wait to hear her impressions and thoughts. I'm sure the city will be a nicer place to be with her in it. Wherever I go this weekend I am going to listen-up for a Texan accent y'all!

I just can't believe that Gwen chose Toronto over the tiny hick town in West Virginia where I live. Sure, Toronto may have the whole "bright lights, big city" thing going on but does that really compare to having to shove cows out of the way when you drive into town to get the mail? Or what about the thrill of driving all the way back up the mountain to home sweet home only to realize you forgot the dog food and have to do the one hour round trip drive to the grocery story AGAIN? Try to enjoy Toronto, Gwen, but I know in your heart you'll always wonder "What if I had gone to West Virginia to help Kathleen chop down the tree that fell across the porch in the last thunderstorm?"

Vicki, you are so sweet.

Cubby, I love the toonies! At first I was thinking I'd keep some to bring home (and use for pasties, eh?) but then I realized the 30 cents or so American I'd get in exchange might come in handy if I find a bubble gum machine at the airport.

Just kidding! That was my obligatory obnoxious American joshing for y'all.

I'm still in Toronto but I'm chilling out online real quick before I go back home this evening. I will of course post a full report on my journal as soon as humanly possible.

Oh, and to y'all whose numbers I took down and then never called... I suck. I'm sorry. We just did *so much* stuff and there were *so many* people I had to try to see, there was just no way I had enough time to hook up with everyone. :( I'm gonna have to come back again very, very soon.

Hail to my Neighbours to the North! Canada rocked my world.

The weather was fabulous when Gwen was here, hardly any humidity at all. Oh, except for Thursday when she and thousands of others were stuck on the tarmac at the airport for hours after they landed. That sucked due to the weather, but the rest of the time was magical.
