A freight train derailed near Loenga in Oslo at 6.30 a.m. Thursday, blocking the Xstfoldbanen, one of the cities major lines. No one was injured in the derailment, said Norway's state railways.

Officials were working feverishly to find enough busesto handle traffic between Ljan and Oslo, and Ski and Oslo. A spokesman said normal traffic was expected to resume in both directions at 12.30 p.m. Thursday.
