car sickness

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Maine Coon Cats : One Thread

Looked at a 9 mo. old kitten today. Owner said the cat gets car sick. I know this cat will be in the car often because of the amount of traveling that I do. Pros/con to this problem? Suggestions? Are there any solutions or should I forget about adopting this kitten?

I vote to let that kitty be placed in a home where he spends minimal amount of time in a car. As a human, who wants to ride a ride at an amusement park that spins around in circles and makes you ill, if you don't have to. So why not let him or her have a chance to have a life where he/she doesn't have to be sick unecessarily; makes sense, doesn't it? That's just my thoughts on the matter. If I was the seller of the cat I probably would not sell him to someone who has to subject the poor thing to nausea. No one likes to feel like heaving!
