Addicks assistant manger Keith Peacock believes that the British transfer market is out of control.

The Addicks are still waiting to make their first signing of the summer despite having over #10 million available. The club have said that they are asked to pay vast sums of money for players who aren't worth their valuations, and he went on to say: "Nothing surprises me anymore. Some of the transfer fees quoted inevitably push you to look abroad. Here you are looking at #2 million or #3 million for a First Division player, where you get a fully fledged international for less if you look abroad. But you have to look at the whole package, and while I wouldn't rule us out of going for a foreign player, I think it's important we bring in players we can rely on, who've done it over here," he said.
